Swansea City will be looking to get themselves into the play-offs if and when the season resumes as they hunt a return to the Premier League.

Steve Cooper has done a decent job so far with his gaggle of young players and making the top six would be a fine way to end the campaign.

In the meantime, though, we've been looking at some players that perhaps didn't shine at the club during their time in Wales.

Here are six of the worst Swans signings...

Vangelis Moras was signed late on in the window as Swansea began their Premier League journey under Brendan Rodgers.

It was clear quite quickly it was a rushed signing, too, with him featuring just once that season and leaving at the end of the campaign - a baffling move.

Renato Sanches gets in just for the sheer disappointment at how badly it went for him given his reputation.

It was clear quite quickly he didn't really want to be there and despite him emerging onto the scene for Portugal, this was a step backwards rather than forwards in his young career - a shame.

Jose Filipe da Silva Moreira was signed by Rodgers ready for the Premier League but some worrying pre-season performances saw more stoppers signed.

He quickly fell down the pecking order at the club and ended up leaving just a year after joining with very, very little to show for it.

Itay Shechter joined from Kaiserslautern - where he'd had a terrible record for goals - on loan and, similarly, had a shocking time in front of goal for the Swans too.

Just the one goal came for the Welsh side and he was quickly sent packing soon after.

Swansea signed Tabanou for a seven-figure sum and it was money wasted in all truth.

He made just three appearances during his time at the club with the spell lasting two years - a real waste of everyone's time.

Marvin Emnes had two loan spells at Swansea before they decided to make the deal permanent and, even so, he still made less that 30 appearances for the club during his time there.

During his permanent spell at the club, injuries didn't help him but he never really managed to nail down a place in the side.
