It's been a frustrating season for Bristol Rovers but manager Ben Garner will likely be eyeing up making some changes in the upcoming transfer window.

They've never been a club with a huge amount of financial might but that hasn't stopped the Gas making some shrewd signings in their time.

However, they've also had their fair share of rather forgettable ones over the years and with that in mind, we compiled a list of six of the worst Rovers signings that we've seen...

There was a little bit of excitement around the arrival of Hunt when the Gas snapped him up as a promising young striker that had just been released from West Ham United's academy.

Things at the Mem didn't go to plan for him, however, and he failed to score once in his two seasons at the club before he was released in 2010.

The midfielder joined Rovers on September transfer deadline day in 2009 from Brighton and failed to ever make much of an impact for the South West club, making 25 appearances and providing just two assists before he was moved on.

Frustratingly, Wright would go on to score 25 goals and provide 20 assists over the next two seasons for Shrewsbury Town.

Zebroski arrived at the Mem in 2011 with the reputation of being a bit of a trouble maker but was a trusted lieutenant of Paul Buckle, who had just taken charge of the club.

The forward's time at Rovers was relatively uneventful both on and off the pitch, with the forward scoring just three goals in his 39 games for the club.

The big German goalkeeper joined the club during Rovers' season in the Conference but he never managed to get to grips with things at the club.

Speiss' three appearances included a few disastrous mistakes and manager Darrell Clarke ended his loan pretty swiftly.

Another player that joined during the 2014/15 Conference campaign, White looked a smart signing for Rovers after having fired in goals for Salisbury City in the division the year before.

His arrival didn't quite have the desired effect and the striker had his contract terminated after just five months – having failed to find the net once in 11 games.

Rovers managed to beat out interest from Championship clubs and convince Blizzard to join them in League One in July 2009.

The fact that his most memorable contribution for the Gas was either a horror-challenge on Charlton Athletic's Grant Basley or his three-day loan to Port Vale says a lot about his contribution for the club.
