Aston Villa continued their superb run at the weekend after they beat Burton Albion at the weekend at Villa Park.

The Villans have now won six on the bounce in the Championship and are seriously throwing down the gauntlet to both Cardiff and Derby County in the race for the automatic spot behind Wolves.

And, at the moment, the man leading that charge is Robert Snodgrass with his Premier League class making him a cut above most in the league right now.

Time, then, to look at his stats so far this season in our latest FLW Spotlight feature:

The £6.3m-rated winger looked an impressive signing on loan from West Ham at the start of this season but perhaps took a little bit of time to settle and truly get up to speed.

Four goals in his last six games suggest he's firing on all cylinders now, though, whilst his assists are racking up and passes are beginning to cause havoc for the opposition.

Indeed, he's the joint top assist maker in the league with his nine set-ups up to this point and, with him beginning to look unplayable at this level, that should only increase.

He's averaging 1.9 key passes a game at the moment with perhaps coming against Burton at the weekend as he cut out about four players for one of Villa's goals, and his growing influence on matches is stark.

The former Hull City man is leading Villa's charge at the moment, and best of all for the club few sides have worked out a way to stop him so far.
