Derby County have endured a mixed start under Phillip Cocu, with the Rams languishing in the bottom half of the Championship table right now.

Whilst that is disappointing, many have sympathy for the Dutch coach because of the off-field issues that have overshadowed the campaign so far.

Nevertheless, there's a lot of work that needs to be done and the January window can't come quick enough for Cocu as he looks to bring in a few players that he hopes, along with Wayne Rooney, will transform this side.

If new arrivals are inevitable, so are departures, and here we look at SIX players who could be moved on in the window...

This may seem unlikely as Roos is the current number one but many feel that the Rams should be targeting a new stopper in January.

And, if they do, Roos won't be happy with going back as the number two, so a move then would suit all parties.

Another player who could be the victim of new arrivals is Wisdom. Bringing in defenders has to be a priority in the New Year and the fact the ex-Liverpool man can't get in now has to be a worry for him.

At 26 he will want to be playing regularly and that's not going to happen at Pride Park.

Another out of favour player who could move on is Anya.

The wide man has barely featured at all in the past 18 months and that's not going to change now even though injuries haven't helped him this season.

Some hoped that the tricky winger would thrive under Cocu's attacking football but it just hasn't happened.

He frustrates the support with his decision-making and has made the bench in just one of the previous four games. He wouldn't be too much of a miss for Derby if he did go.

The well-documented drink-driving incident has rightly impacted Bennett's popularity at Derby and it could spell the end of his career with the club.

He has played just 17 minutes of football since the crash and has regularly failed to make the 18.

This might seem a harsh one but Derby could be on the lookout for a new number nine and Cocu already has a few decent options in Chris Martin and Jack Marriott, with Wayne Rooney to come as well.

So, if they could get a decent fee for Waghorn, which they should be able to, then it could be used to put towards a new number nine.
