It's been something of a mixed start to the season for Bolton Wanderers.

Ian Evatt's side currently sit mid-table in the League Two standings, following their relegation from League One at the end of last season, and they may still be hoping for a return to the third-tier of English football this season.

Among the many fans who will be hoping to see the Trotters do that, will be a number of famous faces, with Bolton a club that enjoys the support of several celebrities.

Here, we’ve taken a look at six of those well known faces who are known to support Bolton, so why not see if there are any you recognise.

Having been born in and around Bolton, Kay has clearly stuck to his roots when it comes to football, being a supporter of the Trotters.

That is something the legendary comedian has clearly been happy to reveal in the past, having included references to the club in some of his previous work.

It is perhaps no surprise to see that Kay’s fellow Bolton-born, former comedy partner, Paddy McGuiness, is also a fan of his local club. The Take Me Out and Top Gear presenter also seems happy to let his feelings for the club be known, having sent them a message of support prior to their promotion from League One back in 2017. It certainly seems as though Bolton have plenty of support from the world of entertainment, with another comedian, Stu Francis, also a supporter of the club. The veteran entertainer was another to send the club a message of support ahead of their most recent promotion, and has previously featured in pantomime at the club’s stadium. He may have conquered the world in the Boxing ring, but Amir Khan certainly hasn’t forgotten his Bolton roots when it comes to another sport in the shape of football. The former Olympic silver medallist and light-welterweight world champion, and former I'm A Celebrity contestant, has previously claimed he wants to fight at the Trotters’ University of Bolton Stadium before he hangs up his gloves. Horwich-born presenter Vernon Kay clearly hasn’t strayed far when it comes to his football allegiances. The 6ft 5in host of shows such as Family Fortunes and Splash, and finalist in this year's I'm A Celebrity, is an avid Bolton, and has previously taken to Twitter to give his thoughts on the running of the club. What is it with Bolton fans and I'm A Celebrity? Derbyshire was one of the those who shared that Welsh castle with Kay this year, and the Bolton born journalist and broadcaster, is another who has stuck to their roots with their football allegiances, previously confirming her support for the Trotters.
