After preserving their Championship status on the final day of last season, Paul Clement is busy working on his Reading squad to ensure they can compete at the other end of the table next season.
The former Derby boss has already made additions to his squad and whilst the signing of Andy Yiadom went down well, recent free transfers John O’Shea and David Meyler have been slightly underwhelming.
However, they will bring experience to the Royals squad as Clement looks to change the mentality.
Nevertheless, further new faces will be needed if the 46-year old is going to transform the Berkshire outfit to play-off contenders as they were in the 2016/17 season under Jaap Stam.
