Leeds United will be hoping they can replicate their two victories over Derby County earlier this season when the two sides meet in the play-off semi-final first leg on Saturday evening.

Marcelo Bielsa's side produced convincing victories over the Rams in August and January, but they are now without a win in their last four matches after suffering a late-season dip in form.

The Whites need their key men to produce big performances at Pride Park in order to resurrect them from this slump, with the likes of Kemar Roofe, Mateusz Klich, Adam Forshaw and Pablo Hernandez all expected to start the match.

Hernandez has been vital cog in Leeds' performances this season, with the former Swansea man producing consistently electric performances to earn his place in the PFA Championship Team of the Year.

The Spaniard will need to be on top form out wide come Saturday, as his ability to turn a game on its head could the key to Leeds' play-off success. Here's how the attacking midfielder has fared so far this season...

Hernandez has featured in the vast majority of Leeds' Championship matches, missing just seven games across the course of the season. His record of 12 goals and 12 assists reveals an all-round contribution towards finishing and creating chances, in fact he is the most creative player in this Leeds side.

His footwork is one of his main assets as what he lacks in pace, he makes up for in trickery. As the 2.8 average shots per game suggest, Hernandez is definitely not afraid to use his skills to cut inside from the wing and then test the goalkeeper.

But his average of three key passes per game reveals where Hernandez is at his most incisive. His vision permits him the ability to unlock defences multiple times per match, making him so important in the upcoming matches. He can change any game in an instant.

Furthermore, Hernandez's function this season has been based more around teamwork rather than him as an individual. This means his passing has been a key part of his game, and has needed to be precise. The 75.1% pass rate indicates he has gone some way to achieving this.

As the stats suggest, Hernandez is invaluable in this Leeds side with his performances this season firmly establishing him as one of the best players outside the Premier League. Leeds' only goal now is to reach the top-flight, and Hernandez is the man who can get them there.
