Brennan Johnson continued his impressive form for Lincoln City at the weekend, scoring a brace in the 4-0 win at Northampton Town.
The young midfielder has thrived since joining the Imps on a season-long loan deal at the start of the campaign, scoring four goals in all competitions for Michael Appleton’s side.
Yesterday, Johnson produced one of his finest performances in a Lincoln shirt, finding the net twice and setting up Anthony Scully for their first goal.
Naturally, plenty of Forest fans have been keeping an eye on Johnson’s progress, with many calling for him to be recalled from his loan spell in January.
Forest found themselves in the same predicament last season with Tyler Walker – the striker scored 16 goals for Lincoln, before being recalled in January and hardly being given a kick under Sabri Lamouchi.
Walker’s situation last season may well be playing on fans’ minds now, but here, the vast majority believe he should return to the City Ground next month…
