Blackburn boss Tony Mowbray is looking forward to facing a 'world-class' manager when he takes on Marcelo Bielsa and his Leeds side tomorrow.

The Whites have enjoyed a fine start to the season and head to Ewood Park sitting in third in the Championship.

It's a remarkable turnaround from last season, which saw the Yorkshire club finish in the bottom-half, with Bielsa also transforming the style of play at Elland Road.

And, Mowbray is well aware of the quality of Leeds, praising the work that the former Marseille boss has done in his first job in England.

"As a team Leeds have only lost once this season and they are up there in all the stats in terms of their physicality, their shots. It’s a good test for us and one we look forward team," he told Rovers official site.

"I’ve spoken long and hard about the spirit and the togetherness of the team. We will be up against a world class manager, but it’s about rolling the sleeves up and going to work, excited by the challenge."

The Lancashire side have lost just once at home this season and know a victory could move them into the top six.

The Verdict

This is a nice message from Mowbray and highlights the respect he has for Bielsa.

It's understandable as the Argentinian has had a fantastic career, coaching all over the world and his style is renowned.

Similarly, the former Celtic boss likes to encourage attacking football so it should be a very good, entertaining game between the sides tomorrow.
