Leeds United have been one of the early sides to watch this season and it's been interesting seeing how Thomas Christiansen has gone about his work.

Coming in as a relatively unknown manager to replace Garry Monk, he's been quick to adapt to Championship football and many of his new players have done the same.

However, we've also seen some interesting selection calls - compared to Monk's when he was at the club - with the likes of the promising Ronaldo Vieira hardly getting a look-in.

The midfielder was a regular last season for the Whites and often delighted fans with his quality in the middle of the park, which was emphasised by the fact he was so young.

He's only played 54 minutes this season though, according to Whoscored, yet it could be time that he gets more of a chance.

In recent weeks we've seen Leeds get over-run by sides that have perhaps taking a more physical approach to their matches.

Vieira, of course, isn't a massive physical presence but he possesses great tenacity as well as his quality on the ball and that extra energy would surely help the Whites compete more.

Who he'd come in for is the big question of course. Eunan O'Kane and Kalvin Phillips have both started the season very well but you could argue that one of Samuel Saiz, Ezgjan Alioski or Pablo Hernandez could be sacrificed at times.

All three are good players but they are a bit more of a luxury and, in certain matches, Christiansen should be looking to bring in Vieira to help shore things up and have a deeper midfield base.
