Wolves have had a disappointing season, failing to match their achievements of last season where they nearly made the play-offs.

They were expected to build upon there success this season and add players to there squad around the core of Benik Afobe, Bakary Sako and Nouha Dicko, who all scored a hatful of goals last season.

They had a sturdy defence too with Scott Golbourne and Dominic Iorfa the most impressive elements. All of that hard work was wasted when they lost Sako to Crystal Palace, Afobe to Bournemouth and Dicko through injury.

Haphazard replacements were brought in to fill the void left by them but they all failed to do so.

They have no established striker with Dave Edwards their top scorer and this season will only result in mid-table mediocrity.

Jackett will have to do a proper rebuild job in the summer and buy some players and bring some youngsters through if they are to challenge for promotion.

There are good youngsters who have represented England at youth level at Molineux and have a big future in the game.

Here are FIVE Wolves players that will become start in the seasons to come:

Dominic Iorfa

The Wolves right-back was a bit of a star last season with the marauding wing-back being mightily impressive in Wolves promotion challenge and was touted as one of the best defenders in the Championship.

But the Wolves side has been weakened this year and we have seen less of Iorfa which is a shame as he shown capabilities in attack and defence.

He is only 20-years-old and has won numerous best young player accolades as well as representing England at youth level and is active in the England U-21s. He will play a big part next season as he continues to improve.

Jed Wallace

The former Portsmouth midfielder was brought in at Wolves to replace Sako but at first the 21-year-old did not seem ready for the Championship.

He scored 14 goals for Portsmouth last season and made the League Two Team of the Season with his good vision and pace helping him develop into a good young player.

He has represented England at U-19 level but surprisingly wasn't given more chances at Wolves and only recently returned from a loan spell at Millwall. Hopefully Kenny will realise how talented the youngster is and give him his chance next season.

Lee Evans

The 21-year-old midfielder was touted whilst playing for Newport County and joined Wolves at the beginning of the season.

He was a class above in League Two showing good passing ability and a willingness to get forward. He was loaned out to Bradford in January and has been impressive for them so far and will hope to break into the Wolves first team next season.

He is currently an active member of the Welsh U-21 side scoring 2 goals for them and this extra experience will help him develop at Wolves.

He wasn't given many chances and sent on loan to Oxford where he impressed earning a recall to Wolves where he is now a omnipresent in the first team.

He scored his first goal of this spell against Charlton but suffered a devastating injury to his knee ligaments in January against Cardiff so will be back for next season with a point to prove as he was starting to establish himself at Wolves.

Kortney Hause

The 20-year-old defender has been very good since his debut for Wolves and has over 30 appearances.

Having being blooded in a few loan spells he has now broken into the Wolves first team and is one of there more consistent performers in a disappointing season.

He is also part of the England U-21 set up and tipped for big things by manager Kenny Jackett. He is signed on until 2019 with his pace, movement and strength making him a vital player for Wolves who they must keep hold of.
