The Championship is a perfect place for young players to develop their game and to really make a name for themselves as a top player, as well as a place for players making their way up the Football League to take the next step in their careers.

In recent years, we've seen the likes of Wilfried Zaha, Nathan Redmond and Matt Ritchie make a name for themselves in the Championship before impressing on the Premier League stage.

With the modern full-back loving a kamikaze, surging run forward, there is often space in behind, allowing Championship wingers room to run into. This leaves sides open and gives the wingers the freedom to run at defenders.

With several sides looking to blood in some of the youngsters this season, there will a better chance than ever for young wingers to make a name for themselves.

Here are FIVE wingers to keep an eye out for in the Sky Bet Championship next season......

Rolando Aarons

Newcastle's talented young winger has been earning rave reviews with Newcastle's under-21 side as well as the England under 20 side, for whom he has scored twice in 5 appearances.

After splashing big bucks on marquee signings backfired on Steve McClaren, Rafa Benitez will be much more willing to give passionate young players shots at the first team, and that could mean a season of opportunity for young Rolando Aarons.

Tariqe Fosu

After replacing Jack Stacey just 20 minutes into Reading's final day 3-0 victory over Derby back in 2014, Tariqe Fosu was tipped for big things.

However, he was loaned out by Steve Clarke to Fleetwood Town, and later to Accrington Stanley.

The big hope of Reading's current youth crop, Reading fans will be hoping Fosu is finally given an extended run in the first team, and that he can replicate his form at Accrington Stanley at the 'Mad Stad'.

Lucas Akins

Burton Albion's astonishing rise has been largely down to the form or rapid left winger Lucas Akins.

He joined the Brewers from Stevenage back in 2014, and has been absolutely outstanding throughout Burton's meteoric rise, banging goals in for fun at every level he has played at.

We saw him make the transition from League 2 to League 1, and there is no reason that he can't make a similar transition to Championship level.

Yanic Wildschut

The 24- year-old Dutch winger was brought in by Wigan Athletic on loan last season, and impressed everyone surrounding the club with some outstanding performances.

Whilst Will Grigg nabbed the headlines with the now infamous chant "Will Grigg's on fire", Wildschut was tearing past League 1 full backs and chipping in with some goals too.

After being signed from Boro on a permanent deal, expect him to feature heavily next season.

Viv Solomon-Otabor

Birmingham's 20-year-old winger burst onto the scene after being eased into the first team picture, following a season of impressive performances for the Blues' under-21 side.

He has been touted to follow in the footsteps of young Demarai Gray, who quickly turned into Birmingham's star man before joining Premier League champions Leicester City, and at the rate he is progressing you wouldn't rule out Solomon-Otabor from making a splash next season.
