Paul Cook's Wigan Athletic side will likely feel their results have not matched their performances this season.

The Latics are 20th in the Championship but have regularly gone toe-to-toe with some of the division's big hitters and come away with results–wins against Nottingham Forest and Cardiff City, for example.

In recent weeks their form would've been greatly improved had they not conceded late goals against Derby County, Swansea City, and Bristol City–which has seen them drop four points.

Cook will likely feel with a bit of luck his side can stay about the relegation battle this season and he has the players to help him do that.

As well as some experienced heads, the Latics boss has got some really promising young players to choose from and with that in mind, here are the five Wigan players who will be worth millions in the future...

The 22-year-old Everton loanee has been fantastic at left-back for the Championship side this season.

Robinson has started every single game for Wigan and averages the joint-most tackles and the second-most interceptions per game, according to Whoscored.

The United States international seems to have all the characteristics that you would look for in a full-back and is surely destined for top-flight football.

When you watch Williams play in the centre of the park for the Latics it is often hard to believe he is just 22 years old.

The defensive midfielder seems to have an old head on young shoulders and does it all for Cook's side–leading the team in tackles, passes, and key passes, according to Whoscored.

There are some supremely talented young midfielders in the Championship at the moment and Williams can count himself among them.

After Reece James dazzled last season, it was always going to be hard for Sterling, arriving as a on-loan Chelsea right-back, but he has fought his way into the starting XI in recent weeks.

He has fantastic athleticism but what sets him apart is the fact he reads the game so brilliantly for a 20-year-old, as evidenced by his 3.5 interceptions per game–the highest of any player in the squad (Whoscored).

Kipre has got a fantastic amount of experience under his belt for a 22-year-old centre-back–having made 100 combined appearances for the Latics and Motherwell.

The Wigan defender has all the intangibles you'd look for a central defender, a good reader of the game, strong, athletic and with aerial prowess.

There still remains a rawness to his game but Kipre looks like he could be a fantastic player if he can iron that out.

The 17-year-old forward is a promising young talent that has appears to have attracted the attention of some of England's biggest clubs already, with Manchester United and Liverpool among the sides reportedly interested.

Gelhardt has impressed from the bench for Cook's side this season, scoring once in 120 minutes of Championship football, and should only continue to improve as he gains more experience.

It is understood that he is valued at £5million already and you feel that could skyrocket once he gets some more senior football under his belt.
