5 Tottenham youngsters Brighton should seal a deal in the summer

Brighton and Hove Albion define the fashionable phrase that is ‘an upwardly mobile Championship club’.

An ambitious owner hell bent on reaching the Premier League, loyal fans and many of the resources required to reach the top flight already in place – the Seagulls look well positioned for promotion should it come.

While it’s hard to imagine them being shy in the transfer market, whatever division they’re in, perhaps a look into the loan market may be their best bet.

Looking to establish themselves as an attractive landing spot, it may well be difficult to lure top talent to the Amex right away even if they do make it to the Promised Land.

With that in mind, the loan market has served them well having landed James Wilson and Steve Sidwell, who have both aided their cause in the Championship.

Those particular deals are indicative of just how useful such a market is, with the former representing the sort of emerging talent you can land, while the latter highlighting how it can help bring in experience.

In the Premier League this season, Tottenham Hotspur have excelled with such a mix of those two attributes and represent an almost ideal blueprint for the South Coast.

Ironically enough, manager Chris Hughton has extensive contacts in North London following his lengthy spell with Spurs and would be well advised to make some enquiries for some of their youngsters over the course of the summer.
