Leeds United boss Steve Evans has had a fairly solid start to life as Leeds manager.

The former Rotherham manager has won two of his five games in charge, including an impressive win over local rivals Huddersfield on Saturday.

Also, Evans led Leeds to their first home win in over sevem months, a 1-0 win over Russell Slade's Cardiff.

The appointment of Evans didn't go down too well with some Leeds fans, who believed that Evans wasn't experienced enough in the Championship to be successful.

They will now be hoping that Evans can be successful at Elland Road, and can bring them some much needed stability to the club.

However, Leeds do have an owner in Massimo Cellino who is known for sacking managers frequently.

Although looking at him now, you'd presume Evans was never a professional athlete, Evans used to be a fairly prolific striker.

Spending all of his career in Scotland, Evans enjoyed his best spell at Albion Rovers, where he scored 28 goals in 76 appearances.

Other clubs that Evans played for include Clyde, Hamilton Academical, and St Johnstone.

When Evans was manager of Crawley, he was found guilty of verbally of using abusive and insulting words about someone's gender, during a Bradford vs Crawley match at Valley Parade.

It was alleged that Evans pulled down his trousers in front of a woman on the night of the game, outside the changing rooms.

The FA punished Evans, by fining him £30,000 and giving him a six match touchline ban.

When Evans was manager of Boston United, he was found guilty of disguising wages and bonuses between 1997-2002, in order to help Boston get to the Football League.

Evans avoided jail however, and got a two year suspended sentence. Evans left the club after an FA enquiry in 2004, but returned to manage Boston a few years later.

Steve Evans clearly has a large amount of trust in assistant Paul Raynor, as at every club he's managed, Raynor has been his assistant.

The pair have achieved seven promotions together with the likes of Boston, Crawley, and Rotherham.

Leeds fans will be hoping that Evans and Raynor can guide them to promotion back to the Premier League.

When Evans left Crawley, the Crawley players seemed very pleased.

When Evans departed Crawley for Rotheram in 2012, his former players were caught on video singing a song which had the lyrics "We're singing a song cos the fat man has gone."

It seems Evans is very unpopular with some of his former players!
