West Brom will be hoping they can hold their nerve in the race for promotion into the Premier League this season under the management of Slaven Bilic.

The Baggies are currently sat second in the Championship table, and are just a single point clear of third-placed Brentford with two matches remaining in their season.

However, the Baggies can pull clear of the Bees in the table if they're to come away with a positive result against Huddersfield Town on Friday evening.

So, it's set to be an interesting finale to this year's league campaign in the second-tier, and the West Brom supporters will be eager to see their side make a timely return to the top-flight.

We take a look at FIVE things we've clearly leant about West Brom so far this season.

Not many would have known about the talent that Matheus Pereira had in his locker when he signed on loan with West Brom during the summer of 2019.

But the Brazilian has adjusted well to his surroundings, and has chipped in with eight goals and 20 assists in all competitions this term for the Baggies.

It came as no surprise to see the club edge closer to signing him permanently, and he'll be hoping he can showcase his talent in the Premier League next season.

The Baggies have made themselves extremely tough to beat this season, with Slaven Bilic's side boasting the third-best defensive record in the Championship.

West Brom have only conceded 41 goals in their 44 league matches this season, which means that only Leeds (34) and Brentford (35) having a better defensive record.

West Brom are currently sat second in the Championship table and well in contention to win promotion back into the Premier League this season.

But the Baggies also have the best record away from home, and Slaven Bilic will be hoping it can remain that way heading into the final two matches of their season.

West Brom have only lost three matches on their travels, and their positive run of form away from The Hawthorns is one of the main reasons as to why they're challenging for promotion.

Slaven Bilic has a number of options available to him in attack, which has seen him have an unsettled team at times this season.

Hal Robson-Kanu has often been trusted to lead the line for the Baggies, but he has struggled for consistency in terms of his goal record this season.

With Charlie Austin and Kenneth Zohore both more than capable of starting for West Brom, it'll be interesting to see which strikers stay with the club heading towards next year's campaign.

West Brom have an impressive amount of depth available to them, especially with a number of their squad previously playing in the Premier League.

When the likes of Kamil Grosicki (pictured above) are struggling for consistent game time, it gives you a sense as to the strength in depth that Slaven Bilic has in his squad.

Competition for places can only be a positive for the West Brom boss.
