With Wolves sanctioning the sale of star striker Benik Afobe to Bournemouth, Kenny Jackett will be hoping he can find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

He has been told he will be able to re invest most of or if not all of that money into his squad, and a striker will most definitely be his number one target.

Afobe has been in excellent form for Wolves this season, scoring 10 goals in the first half of the season and starting in every game so far.

Saturday's blank at Upton Park against West Ham in the FA Cup, where Jackett chose not to start Afobe, highlighted a clear hole in their attack when he doesn't play.

Here are FIVE strikers Wolves should consider investing the Afobe money in, as they look to mount a play-off push in The Championship....

Tom Bradshaw

The Walsall front man has been in lethal form as The Saddler's have taken League One by storm, and remain well in contention to be in the promotion race at the end of the season.

Key to this success has been front man Bradshaw, who's 12 goals already have put him and his club well in to the spotlight this term.

While it may not seem ideal to take a punt on somebody from the league below, Bradshaw has all the credentials to be a top striker whichever league he ply's his trade in.

Interest in Bradshaw is high though, with teams from The Championship, as well as interest North of the border, vying for his signature.

If Kenny Jackett sees Bradshaw as an option, he should act quick. Its hard to imagine the striker will take up his full budget too, leaving him free to strengthen in other areas too.

Dwight Gayle

Afobe leaves a hole up front that is more than just goals, he leaves Wolves without his electric pace and movement at the top end of the pitch.

Dwight Gayle of Crystal Palace offers both the things which Wolves now lack.

While he isn't a regular starter for Palace, they paid a hefty fee for his services back in 2013 and he has gone on to impress when given the opportunity.

With Alan Pardew in the market for another striker, Gayle may find his opportunities at Selhurst Park limited, meaning Wolves would be ideal destination for him to revive his career.

Gabby Agbonlahor

In Gabby Agbonlahor, Wolves would be getting exactly what they want. Pace, power, and Premier League experience with an eye for a goal.

While it might cause controversy in the Midlands, it is common knowledge that Agbonlahor is being surplus to requirements at Villa Park.

Now could be the ideal time for Kenny Jackett to swoop and strenghthen his squad with an experienced hit man of real quality.

Lewis Grabban

The Norwich City striker has been on the periphery of the squad for most of the season now and will no doubt be looking for some first team football.

Although he may not be fully convinced by a move back to The Championship, Grabban could see filling the void left by Afobe as a real challenge to reinvigorate a career which has not quite hit the heights he seems capable of.

Grabban would bring goals with him, boasting good records at Rotherham, Bournemouth, and Norwich when given the chance. Kenny Jackett would love a player of Grabbans quality down at Molineux however, and may choose to act quickly to secure his man.

Peter Crouch

This might seem like a long shot in the dark, and many would think a player with England caps aplenty and no doubt on high wages, would be of no interest to a Championship club.

But, Wolves could well be tempted to test the water. Despite playing and scoring in Saturdays FA Cup win at Doncaster, Crouch has found himself playing second and third fiddle for most of the season.

While he represents a different type of striker to Afobe, he certainly represents an added quality not many Championship sides possess.

A loan move would probably seem the most logical option, and Jackett may choose to use the money on funding high wages for guaranteed goals rather than a high transfer fee on a higher risk.
