Sheffield Wednesday have got off to a relatively strong start in this year's league campaign under the guidance of Garry Monk.

The Owls are currently sat eighth in the Championship table, and will be keen to get back to winning ways when they return to action against league leaders West Brom this weekend.

Monk's men endured a slight dip in form before the international break after dropping points against Blackburn Rovers and Swansea City.

So it's important that they find some consistency in their performances heading into the potentially season-defining festive period.

With the January transfer window edging closer, it'll be interesting to see whether Monk conducts any business to strengthen his squad's chances of winning promotion into the Premier League.

It is a relatively strong squad, and here, we look at FIVE Sheffield Wednesday players who will be worth millions in the future.

See who they are on the next page....

The 24-year-old signed for Sheffield Wednesday on a permanent deal from Wolves in January 2019, and he'll be keen to force his way into Garry Monk's plans on a more regular basis as the season progresses.

Iorfa is a versatile player to have in the Owls squad, and can play at either full-back or centre-back, which is something he's been doing recently with Tom Lees continuing to recover from injury.

Iorfa has hardly put a foot wrong as well, and he'll be hoping to build on this as the season heads towards the festive period.

He's also been capped at youth level for England, so it's clear to see that he's a player with a bright future ahead of him.

Harris has been a key player for Sheffield Wednesday this season, and is looking like one of the best signing's the club has made in recent years.

He arrived on a free transfer as well, after leaving Cardiff City in the summer, and will certainly be worth a fair bit in today's transfer market.

Harris offers pace and trickery going forward, which make him difficult to contain for opposition defences.

Dawson is out of contract at the end of this year's campaign, but the Owls could be tempted to offer him a new deal before the January transfer window.

The goalkeeper wouldn't been been pleased with his current game time earlier this season, but was given a run in the starting XI with Keiren Westwood out injured.

Dawson impressed during his spell in the first team, and could be tempted to sign a new deal at Sheffield Wednesday, where he could be worth millions in the future - providing he can force his way into the starting XI on a regular basis in the future.

The former Everton youth prospect has been impressive when called upon by Sheffield Wednesday, but he'll surely have one eye on a loan spell away from Hillsborough in January to further his development in senior football.

Thorniley has been restricted to just two EFL Cup appearances this season, and is unlikely to get into the starting XI ahead of the likes of Julian Borner and Tom Lees.

A successful loan spell could lead to him challenging for a first team spot in future seasons and if he can do that, then the Owls could be fielding calls from potential suitors.

Penny is currently out on loan with German side St Pauli, where the young full-back has made eight appearances in total this season away from Hillsborough.

He did feature for the Sheffield Wednesday first team last season under the management of Jos Luhukay, but was sent out on loan during the summer.

The Owls will be hoping that Penny can learn from his loan spell this season and force his way back into the Sheffield Wednesday first team on a regular basis on the near future.
