Leeds United's controversial owner Massimo Cellino has to sell for the good of everybody involved with the club, whether it be players or fans, they deserve better.

After purchasing the Yorkshire club a couple of seasons ago, Cellino has never been far from controversy.

Ahead of Leeds' 0-0 clash against Middlesborough, a giant projection demanding Cellino to leave was displayed on Elland Road's east stand.

The stunt, is the latest in a long line of protests by Leeds fans as the controversial owner continues to act recklessly.

The protest came just weeks after Cellino increased ticket prices in some parts of the stadium, along with refusing to offer Leeds starlet Sam Byram a higher contract before he moved to West Ham at a reduced price.

With this, Cellino promised investment and a repurchase of Elland Road - evidence of more broken promises.

Massimo has never had a great relationship with the Football League and has failed the fit and proper owners test before successfully appealing.

Sell for the fans

Without the fans, football would be nothing.

Cellino has made many promises to the Whites fans - these include buying back the stadium, buying players that will make Leeds compete, and the biggest one of all - having Leeds back in the Premier League by 2016/17.

Along with these promises, Cellino brought a "pie tax" on to ticket prices.

A system where fans pay an extra £5 and gain a free pie at Elland Road, this was not optional so fans incurred the hefty fee.

It seems as though Cellino does not understand the stature of Leeds United and he is treating it as a game.

Sell for the fans, Mr Cellino.

Sell for the team

No right-minded player would want to sign for Leeds United in any of the upcoming transfer windows.

Everybody associated with the club knows how reckless Massimo Cellino can be.

Leeds recently lost talented youngster Sam Byram to West Ham, as Cellino offered him a cut price contract.

For Leeds to be successful on the pitch, they need fresh legs and that won't happen under Cellino.

Management

Cellino has a tendency to sack managers as he pleases, and appoint lower league managers to a club out of their depth.

Take Dave Hockaday for example, appointed from Forest Green Rovers, only to be sacked a few months into his contract.

The club needs stability and with Cellino in charge, you simply aren't going to get that.

Sell for the league

Cellino always causes controversy when the Football League are involved.

Recently, Cellino went against a contract he signed and attempted to refuse Sky TV entry to Elland Road for a televised game.

This could've landed the club in trouble with the league and could have brought a points deduction.

The Italian always seems to get the club into controversy, and it seems a major issue arises every single week.

If nothing else, sell for yourself

The vast majority of Leeds fans want Cellino out.

The hate for him will only get worse as seasons go by and with many protests already taking place, they will only worsen in the hope to drive him out.

Massimo Cellino must sell Leeds - for the good of everybody involved - otherwise the negative energy around the club is only going to increase.

The #TimeToGoMassimo campaign is a perfect example as to why Cellino needs to sell Leeds United as soon as possible.
