The Championship is a stage for some of English football’s most talented prospects and experienced players to ply their trade and showcase their ability.
This mixture of ability has earned the Championship a reputation of being one of the toughest leagues in the world.
In any good Championship side is usually a good pair of wingers, and the attribute most valued, is pace.
Pace is invaluable for any winger, and the Championship has this in abundance.
Bournemouth had Matt Ritchie, who made up for his modest pace with fine technical ability; Norwich had the electric Nathan Redmond, who was pivotal in their Play-Off triumph over Middlesbrough; Swansea’s victory over Reading in the Play-Off final in the 2010/11 season was largely down to the trouble winger-cum-striker Scott Sinclair caused among the Royals backline.
The point is, almost every successful Championship side has been helped by a pair of quick, technically gifted wingers.
