For Queens Park Rangers and manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, it looks like turning into a season of what might have been.

After a slow start since taking over, the Dutchman has started to turn things round and has guided the club to a safe mid-table position of 11th, after seeing his side down in 18th at one point in the season.

Hasselbaink has instilled some steel to the ranks down at Loftus Road, with their home form becoming a key component to their good fortunes since Christmas.

They have kept clean sheets in 4 of the last 5 home games, with only a heavy defeat to Fulham proving a blotch on this record.

The club opted to bring in young hungry players from the league below, with Conor Washington a prime example of this, and it seems to be paying off.

However, over the course of the season there have been players at the club who have simply not performed.

With this in mind, FLW's Lee Connor takes a look at FIVE QPR players who have not pulled their weight this season.....

Jamie Mackie

Mackie signed for the club for the second time in the summer of last year, but has failed to deliver this season, with no goals coming in his 14 appearances so far.

It has been frustrating for the former Forest man, who has seem game time restricted due to numerous reasons, but his return in front of goal has done little to enhance his claims.

Mackie could well be a player who is moved on during the summer, as manger Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will be looking to reshape his squad as he seeks promotion next term.

Armand Traore

Armand TraoreArmand Traore

This season about sums up Traore's spell with the club, as he has failed to make an appearance all season.

Traore has seen his time at Loftus Road hampered by injury, and this one has been no different despite returning from a lengthy absence at the start of the season.

Traore has already been told he is free to leave the club, and he will not be part of any revolution under Hasselbaink, that is for sure.

Massimo Luongo

luongo

There is no doubting Luongo is an excellent talent, but he has so far failed to live up the billing which made him a star for Swindon last season and one of the best players for his national team.

Luongo has made 25 appearances though, and is a regular in the match day squad, so will be hoping to be given a chance more often next season.

If Hasslebaink can get Luongo performing as he did for Swindon, then fans should be in for a real treat once he finds his rhythm.

Clint Hill

Long known for his commitment to the cause and for being a full blooded whole hearted defender, this season has seen Hill slip down the pecking order at Loftus Road.

It might seem harsh to say he has not pulled his weight, but Hill has certainly looked a shadow of the player he once was, with maybe injuries and age finally catching up to him.

Hill has been with Rangers for 6 seasons now, and it may be that time is up on his QPR career come the end of the season.

Ben Gladwin

Gladwin was signed in the summer along with Massimo Luongo, after an impressive season with Swindon Town.

However, after only a handful or appearances, he was immediately loaned out to Bristol City, where he has once again failed to find a regular place in the starting line up.

Much was expected of the midfielder when he joined in the summer, but he has so far failed to live up to any sort of expectation. Should he return from his loan spell, fans and coaching staff alike will expect to see a lot more from him.

QPR fans.... Do you agree? Who else has not pulled their weight this season? Have we missed anyone off? Let us know in the comments!
