Watford will be looking to appoint a new manager in the near future, with the club recently confirming that they have parted company with Vladimir Ivic.

Ivic only took charge of the Hornets in the summer of 2020, and made a positive start to life at Vicarage Road. But results have slightly dipped in recent weeks, with Watford being beaten by Huddersfield Town in their most recent fixture.

That proved to be his last game in charge of the club, as they announced his surprise dismissal, despite the Hornets currently occupying a spot in the play-offs.

It is also claimed by the Daily Mail that the Watford board lost patience with Ivic after benching fan favourite Troy Deeney due to 'disciplinary issues'.

Watford are currently sat fifth in the second-tier standings, and will be hoping that a new manager can guide them back into the Premier League at the first time of asking.

We take a look at FIVE potential replacements that Watford could look to appoint as their new manager.

Find out who they are, on the next page...

It has already been revealed by the Daily Mail, that Watford have held talks with the Dinamo Tbilisi manager over becoming their new boss this season.

He only took charge of the Georgian club earlier this year, and has previously played for Spanish side Valencia.

The Dinamo Tbilisi job is his first as a manager, having worked as an assistant earlier in his coaching career.

Bilic guided West Brom to promotion into the Premier League last season, but was surprisingly relieved of his duties after a 1-1 draw away to Manchester City.

The Croatian has proven that he can take teams into the top-flight, although it remains to be seen as to whether he'd be tempted by a move to Vicarage Road after being sacked by West Brom not so long ago.

Howe has previously managed AFC Bournemouth, but parted company with the club back in August after a poor run of results, which saw the Cherries relegated from the top-flight.

He guided Bournemouth into the Premier League in the first place, and is another manager that could be tempted by the prospect of doing exactly the same with Watford this season.

Cowley has been out of work since being relieved of his duties by Huddersfield Town in the 2019/20 season, but could be tempted by a move to Vicarage Road.

He has previously managed Lincoln City as well, and was hugely impressive in his tenure in charge of the Imps earlier in his managerial career.

Terry is currently working as Dean Smith's assistant at Aston Villa.

But the former Chelsea and England defender has previously been linked with the managerial vacancy at Derby County, and Dean Smith has revealed in the past that he wouldn't stand in Terry's way if he wanted to take charge of a club.

He would be considered a slightly risky appointment by Watford though given his lack of experience as a manager, but he could be worth the punt.
