Every club has multiple players come through the door across the years that struggled to make an impact.

Some of those players go on to bigger and better things later on in their career or others sink away into the non-league circuit after their Football League career.

Here are five players that you probably once forgot played for Bristol Rovers...

The winger began his career at Rovers after joining them at the age of 16 and progressing through the under-18s.

He made 49 appearances and scored two goals for the club across three seasons before moving onto York City in 2012. He has since drifted away into non-league and is now at Merthyr Town.

McBurnie joined the club on loan from Swansea City in March 2016 and played a part in their promotion to League One.

He made five appearances and failed to score as he had to make do with coming off the bench for all of his games in a Rovers shirt.

The goalkeeper has gone on to have a fine career but he actually joined Rovers on loan from Newcastle in the summer of 2009.

The shot-stopper made four appearances across a month as he showed calmness in between the sticks and was tipped for a bright future.

Pell joined the club in the summer of 2010 after being released from Charlton Athletic but things didn't quite work out for him at The Memorial Stadium.

He made 10 appearances in central midfield across the 2010-2011 season before leaving for Hereford United. He has since established himself as a solid Football League midfielder.

The right-back retired from playing last summer and during his career, one of his better periods came with Bristol Rovers.

He pulled on the famous blue and white quarters across three seasons as he made 100 appearances for the club and scored three goals for Rovers during his time at The Memorial Stadium.
