Peterborough United are one of the most in-form sides in the entire Football League at present, with the Posh having rumped to five straight wins on the bounce under Darren Ferguson, thus seeing them into second place in the league standings on 55 points.

Much of the team's success has to be owed to their striking talents, with the likes of Ivan Toney, Mo Eisa, Siriki Dembélé and formerly Marcus Maddison, prior to his mid-season departure to Hull City, all notching impressive goal tallies as the Posh seek to regain their Championship status after a few seasons in the third division.

Despite losing Maddison in the transfer window just gone, the League One side have still managed to maintain their strong form and now are seen by many as one of the favourites for promotion.

Moving away from the goings-on in the present, we have devised a list of obscure players who previously adorned the colours of Peterborough United to take fans on a trip down memory lane.

Here, we take a look at FIVE players that you probably forgot once played for Peterborough United....

The current Bristol Rovers hotshot was once on the books of the Posh during the 2012/2013 season but ultimately never made a first team appearance for the London Road club before departing for Southend United. Clarke-Harris has been in superb form for Rovers this term, notching 14 goals in all competitions.

The full back played a total of eight times for the club before departing on loan to Hereford and AFC Wimbledon respectively, until he was eventually sold to Crewe Alexandra. After becoming something of a journeyman, Blanchett eventually hung up his boots in the summer of 2017.

A powerful centre back, Addison previously played for the Posh back in the 2015/2016 season, making three appearances and scoring one goal before being released on a free transfer in January of that campaign, thus leading to the defender being picked up by Kilmarnock in Scotland. He currently plies his trade for Nuneaton.

Ajose was previously at London Road between 2011 and 2014, notching seven goals in 27 games before going on to play for a host of EFL clubs such as Leeds United, Charlton Athletic and Swindon Town. He currently plays for Exeter City in League Two after leaving Charlton on a free transfer.

The former West Ham United academy graduate endured something of an injury hit career which included a brief spell at London Road during the 2015/2016 season in which he played a total of 12 times for the Posh before hanging up his boots in February of that campaign. Collison now coaches for MLS side Atlanta United in America.
