Things are going pretty well for Blackburn Rovers at the moment.

Tuesday night's 3-0 win at home to Hull City moved Tony Mowbray's side to within three points of the Championship play-off places for the time being, meaning a chance of winning promotion to the Premier League is still on the cards.

Of course, Rovers have plenty of past memories of English football's top-flight, and in more recent years, a brief spell in their history down in the third-tier of the football pyramid.

There have been some memorable Rovers players across those times, from the likes of Alan Shearer and Tugay in the Premier League, to key players such as Bradley Dack and Danny Graham in the past few years.

By contrast, there have also been a fair few players who have failed to make such as positive an impact at Ewood Park, and here, we've taken a look at five players you may have - or would rather - have forgotten ever pulled on the famous blue and white halves of Blackburn Rovers.

Henry originally joined Blackburn on a month-long loan deal from West Ham in March 2015, and made three league appearances in total during that spell at Ewood Park.

The defender returned to Blackburn the following March, where he made just one more appearance for the club.

Having made just a single appearance for the Hammers during his time in London, Henry went onto spend time on loan in Denmark with AC Horsens, before permanently leaving the Premier League side for Vancouver Whitecaps at the end of 2017.

Henry's latest career move saw him head to South Korea to join Suwon Bluewings at the end of 2019, with the 26-year-old also racking up 31 appearances for Canada in his career so far.

Having been released by French side Le Mans, one-time Middlesbrough youngster Goulon joined Blackburn on a two-year deal in September 2010.

That two years would bring a total of just four appearances for Rovers for the midfielder, who also spent a spell on loan at Doncaster during that time.

After leaving Ewood Park at the end of his contract, Goulon went on to play around Europe, appearing in the top-flights of Polish, Cypriot and Romanian football.

He is currently playing in Malaysia with Pahang, where he made headlines last year after scoring a free-kick from inside his own half in a Malaysian FA Cup semi-final.

Bengali-Fode Koita joined Blackburn from Caen on a two-year deal back in the summer of 2015, although the attacker wouldn't see out a great deal of that contract.

The Guinea international made a total of 15 appearances in all competitions for Blackburn, failing to score a single goal in that time, before leaving the club in January 2016, just a few months after his arrival.

Koita's departure from the club saw him join Kasimpasa, who he still plays for now, having made a total of 89 appearances for the Turkish top-flight side to date, scoring 19 goals in all competitions.

Blackburn have had their fair share of success with young players in recent years, but Forrester wasn't one of them.

The former Everton youngster joined Blackburn as an 18-year-old in January 2013, and went onto make his debut for the club as a 75th-minute substitute in a 1-0 defeat at home to Millwall in an FA Cup quarter-final replay.

That would prove to be Forrester's only appearance for the club, with loan spells in League Two with Bury and Morecambe following, before the striker was released by Blackburn in the summer of 2016.

He then went onto join Port Vale, scoring five goal in 41 appearances for the Valiants between 2016 and 2018 - when he was released by the club, before joining seventh-tier side Radcliffe at the start of this season.

Signed from Sheffield United on the final day of the 2011 summer transfer window for a fee of £1.1million on a four-year deal, Slew endured a forgettable spell at Ewood Park.

The attacker made his Rovers debut as a late substitute in a 3-2 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford on New Year's Eve 2011, but would make just one more appearance for the club in an FA Cup defeat to Newcastle the following week, again as a late substitute.

After that, Slew would be sent out on no fewer than five different loan spells before his Blackburn contract was terminated in January 2015.

He then went onto move about the lower levels of the Football League with the likes of Cambridge, Chesterfield, Rochdale and Plymouth before heading into non-league in 2018, where he remained until being signed for League Two Morecambe from Ashton United last month.
