When it comes to selling members of the squad, Wolves have arguably done well in the past to make a decent amount of profit on players.
Most recently, the club made an £8m profit when they sold Benik Afobe to Bournemouth in January – just a year before, they’d spent £2m to bring the striker to Molineux from Arsenal.
Prior to that, the club made considerable profits on the likes of Matt Jarvis and Steven Fletcher who were sold to West Ham and Sunderland respectively, following relegation from the Premier League.
The Chief Executive at the club, Jez Moxey, has always ran a very tight ship but has undoubtedly made profits on many acquisitions in the past.
However, in spite of the profits, there are some players that Wolves fans would be keen to have back at the club.
The phrase “you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone” will to spring to mind for Wolves fans who will perhaps be thinking about that one player, who had that spark to make something happen and turn a game on it’s head.
Football League World writer Alex Grove takes a look at the FIVE players who he thinks Wolves shouldn’t have let slip through the net…….
