Leeds United have been heavily linked with the forgotten Norwich forward Kyle Lafferty, and could be set to bring the Northern Irishman to Elland Road.

Steve Evans has enquired about taking the Northern Ireland international on loan from Norwich City until the end of the season.

Lafferty has only made two appearances for Norwich this season, but was the integral part of Northern Ireland’s success European Qualifier campaign, which they qualified for the Finals in France.

The 28-year-old will need some playing time leading up to the finals in order to keep up his match fitness.

Leeds boss, Steve Evans has been proactive in tracking down some players ahead of the January Transfer Window.

Leeds look a more established side under Steve Evans and he will want to add some quality into his squad to push for a play off place.

The Sunderland man was on the brink of signing for Leeds, but the deal fell through after a complication.

The central midfielder has fallen out of favour at the Stadium of Light and is attracting further interest from other Championship clubs.

Bridcutt would fit in at Elland Road, as Steve Evans will like working with players who always show 100% and are committed to the cause.

Lewis Grabban

Leeds has been linked with a series of attacking players and Steve Evans has refused to rule out a move for the former Bournemouth striker.

Steve Evans has worked with Grabban previously at Rotherham United and has a good relationship with the player.

Grabban’s pace could work wonders with Lafferty and they could make an impressive partnership.

Joao Teixeira

The 22-year-old will have several Football League clubs knocking on the door for his services.

The Liverpool youngster was on loan at Brighton last season and has an excellent track record in the Championship.

He was Brighton’s young player of the year and top scorer last season, and the Portuguese midfielder could add a creative spark that could see the Whites push up the table.

Kevin Nolan

The 33-year-old is a free agent after leaving West Ham, and the midfielder has a real physical presence and could fit in well to the tough nature of the Championship.

Nolan could be a welcome addition to Elland Road and would provide some experience to the young Leeds midfield.

Anders Lindegaard

The Danish international is the third choice goalkeeper at West Brom this season behind Ben Foster and Boaz Myhill, and is unlikely to get any playing time at the Hawthorns.

Lindegaard could bring some competition to Leeds' first choice Marco Silvestri - the Italian has improved recently, but has been prone previously to the odd mistake.
