With the League One play-offs in sight, Sheffield United will be focusing entirely on gaining promotion to the Championship.

Whether they are promoted or not, United could do with a few additions to a young squad that needs some pace and experience, especially in midfield and attack.

Michael Tonge

A club hero and set to be a free agent at the end of the season, with his loan spell at Millwall and contract at Leeds United both set to expire.

The holding midfielder spent seven years at Sheffield United, playing in the Premier League years for the club.

Tonge could be a good signing for United

Now at 32, Tonge will be looking for first team football to finish off his career and a return home could benefit the players confidence and performances.

With only 10 appearances this season, Tonge has still kept an 80% pass success rate has proven that he's still got it in him.

With Tonge being a free transfer, it could be a bargain buy for the club. A move home will also be a big bonus when it comes to fighting off other clubs interests.

Sheyi Ojo

With similarities to Raheem Sterling and Jordan Ibe, Ojo has been able to avoid media speculation and be able to focus on football.

The 17-year-old winger has seen a loan spell at Wigan give him vital first team experience, but a move to a club like Sheffield United could really see him become a star for the club.

Ojo has had a spell at Wigan Athletic on loan

With blistering pace and nimble feet, Sheffield's strikers would be extremely excited to join up with Ojo as he hits the byline and crosses the ball in.

Most likely he'll be available for loan next season and Sheffield should be exploring the option of taking the young speedster on loan.

Martyn Woolford

Versatility can be a major bonus to most clubs that are looking to challenge for the title and if the Blades are looking to go again next season, Woolford could be a great option.

Woolford has joined Sheffield United

Newly relegated Millwall are seemingly looking to offload the winger even after he has featured in 35 matches for the club this season.

Woolford's contract is set to expire in the summer and United should look to snap up the versatile midfield before any Championship clubs notice he's free.

Emmanuel Ledesma

After being loaned out twice this season, Ledesma could be set to go out on loan again and Nigel Clough's side should be looking to snap us this winger from Middlesbrough.

Not only known for his attacking abilities, Ledesma is also fantastic when defending. His defensive contribution will be a major benefit to the club if he can assist in helping the club create counter attacks.

His ability to cut inside, his long shots and his preference to be the set piece take will all be a benefit to the club.

Ledesma could be available on the cheap or on loan and he has all the potential to have a fantastic season at Bramall Lane.

Tom Bradshaw

After recommending players that should be a bargain for the club, now is the time that the real money is spent.

Even though Sheffield United have some good young forwards that can bring in goals, Bradshaw seems to have a different element to his attacking play that makes him stand out.

bradshaw

Walsall's Tom Bradshaw has scored 17 goals in 28 matches this season and that's a brilliant season for a player in a mid table side.

Although this transfer could cost a pretty penny, getting in a striker than can score goals is a must for the club and with Bradshaw only being 22 this could be a great piece of business.
