After it emerged yesterday that Ryan Giggs is a contender for the Nottingham Forest managers job, the world of football was immediately sent into a frenzy with thoughts of how Giggs might do and who he might well sign.

Forest have had their transfer embargo lifted and are expected to delve into the transfer market regardless of if Giggs is named or not. It has been a frustrating few seasons for the Reds, and they will be looking to catch up a bit now on the top six in the Championship.

There are already plenty of excellent players at the City Ground, and Giggs would be inheriting a pretty decent squad should he take the role.

Giggs is a big name in football, known by nearly everyone who has watched a football match in their life, so should have plenty of contacts within the game.

With this in mind, here are FIVE players Ryan Giggs could look to sign for Nottingham Forest...

Chris Gunter

Straight in with the Welsh connection, but former Forest defender Gunter would be more than welcomed back at the City Ground.

With some Reading fans seemingly not too impressed with Gunter, he may well jump at the chance to move and work under a Welsh legend like Giggs.

Gunter is currently impressing over in France for the national side and will no doubt be getting plenty of interest from onlooking scouts, but a move back to Forest may well be realistic.

Ryan Tunnicliffe

Another impressive talent produced from the Old Trafford youth system is Ryan Tunnicliffe.

He has plenty of ability but he has yet to really flourish since moving from Man United, and has spent a few spells out on loan since being at Fulham.

At only 23 though, he has plenty of time to develop further and in a midfield containing the talents of the likes of Henri Lansbury, Tunnicliffe could well flourish.

Bradley Dack

The Gillingham man is a wanted man due to his performances down in League One last season after impressing with a bundle of assists and goals for the Gills.

Dack will be high on the list of many clubs going into the summer, but he has yet to be tempted away after being close to a move to Bristol City last season.

The midfielder can play across every position and even as a number 10, and could well be a useful addition. The chance to work with someone like Ryan Giggs too might well be a deciding factor for Dack when he eventually does move on.

Ashley Fletcher

Ashley Fletcher

Fletcher was excellent during a loan spell with Barnsley last season, and with Giggs in charge at Forest, he might well be tempted to join the former Welsh wing wizard.

There are plenty of clubs interested in the front man, but you would expect Giggs to be able to convince Fletcher to make the move to Nottingham.

Forest will need goals next season, and adding Fletcher to the squad to supplement the likes of Brit Assombalonga could well be a very wise move indeed.

Che Adams

The Sheffield United man is one of the most sought after talents outside the top two divisions in England, and impressed massively last season hitting double figures alongside Billy Sharp.

Giggs will want young hungry players at the City Ground, and Adams fits that bill perfectly.

He will not come cheap, with Sheffield United wanting to keep their man for next season, but moving for someone like Adams would be a positive move. He could play wide, or even down the middle like he does for the Blades, and would certainly be an asset for the Reds.
