Derby County have enjoyed a solid start to the season but will be hoping they can build on their current form and rise into the automatic promotion places.

The Rams added carefully to their squad, bringing in Alex Pearce on a free transfer from Reading, bringing in Darren Bent on a permanent deal alongside Andreas Weimann, and adding Norwich midfielder Bradley Johnson to the ranks as well as Jacob Butterfield.

The squad isn't completely ideal however, and the Rams could benefit from some first team departures.

Here are FIVE players Paul Clement should look to move on in January...... DO you agree? If not, have YOUR say in the comments section below!

The keeper has only made two appearances this season and is playing back-up to Scott Carson in net.

A waste of good wages and a good player if he is just going to sit on the bench, so fans will be hoping to see him off the roster come January.

He has invaluable experience; that is something no one can doubt, but whether his career is on the decline, especially after losing his place to Carson, is still up for debate.

The Jamaican international is fourth choice striker behind Chris Martin, Darren Bent and Andreas Weimann, so isn't needed at the moment.

Most likely would join a bottom half Championship side, where he could play a part in their race for survival.

Whilst he has enjoyed decent form with Jamaica, he has failed to replicate his form for club, and would be branded a disappointment by most fans.

On loan at Sheffield United, the striker will be fifth choice when he returns, and many fans would rather see him leave on a permanent basis, if not in January then at the end of the season.

He hasn't really got a look in at the iPro Stadium of late and brings nothing to the team they don't already have, so wouldn't be heavily missed should he depart.

Craig Bryson

Bryson is third in our list

The midfielder has been an excellent servant to the club but is now a backup to the first team since the arrival of Bradley Johnson, and on large wages, so he could be moved on, despite his history with the club and his performances last season.

No one doubts his quality, but the midfield is a crowded place at Derby at the moment, and that is without the injured Will Hughes, who will only improve, as well as the revelation of young talent George Thorne, so Bryson has fallen down the pecking order.

Hasn't made a starting appearance this season, so will not be sorely missed if he was to depart in January.

There is also the issue that he doesn't really bring anything new to the team, so his departure wouldn't be a surprise.

The former Stoke full-back has had better years, and is only really providing cover for the first team.
