Brentford have been one of the Championship's most exciting teams to watch this season and are currently tied for the most goals scored with West Bromwich Albion.

Thomas Frank has built a well-balanced side that can cause plenty of danger to their opposition, with his front three of Bryan Mbuemo, Ollie Watkins and Said Benrahma managing 46 goals between them so far this season.

In midfield, 21-year-old Josh Dasilva has kicked on this season, while Christian Norgaard has acted as an able defensive shield and deep-lying distributor.

In defence, Rico Henry has continued to impress at left-back and Pontus Jansson has been a good addition in the centre of the Bees defence.

Currently fourth in the table, Frank's side will be one of the favourites to win the playoffs provided they can guarantee their spot over the next few weeks.

With a new stadium set to be ready for next season, promotion to the Premier League would be the ideal way to celebrate.

Here, we look at five players from they should look to bring in if they are promoted.

With Henrik Dalsgaard turning 31 this year, right-back is an area Brentford should be looking to invest in. Cash offers plenty of attacking threat and has contributed three goals and four assists this season, while he has also improved his defending since converting to a full-back under Sabri Lamouchi.

With Dasilva, Emiliano Marcondes and Jan Zamburek the Bees have plenty of drive and goal threat from midfield, but the addition of another player comfortable in possession could be useful. Matt Grimes has been one of the best distributors in the Championship for two seasons now and also has a great defensive side to his game.

The summer additions of Jansson and Ethan Pinnock have helped Brentford stabilise their back line and they currently boast the second best defence in the division in terms of goals conceded. However, they will need additions following promotion and Hause could prove an affordable but astute signing. His current side Aston Villa look as though they could be relegated, but he has excellent ability on the ball and could thrive in this Brentford side under Frank.

The former Arsenal man was one of the star players in the Allsvenskan with AIK prior to his move to FC Krasnodar. A Swedish international, he has not had the best time in Russia and could be tempted by a move to the Premier League. Olsson is very creative and given the knowledge of the Scandinavian market at Brentford, they should be keeping an eye on his situation.

With 16 goals this terms for a struggling Huddersfield Town side, Grant could be the ideal man to offer competition to Brentford's BMW front line. He can play through the middle or out wide, he can dribble and he can lay the ball on for his teammates, but also would not cost too much in wages and transfer fee.
