Bradford City have enjoyed an excellent start to the 2019/20 season, as Gary Bowyer looks to lead the Bantams back through the Football League.

It has been a tough few years following the Bantams, who have gone from League One play-off finalists to a fourth-tier side again in under three seasons.

However, there’s a feel good factor at Valley Parade at the moment, with Bowyer leading his side to second in the table ahead of this weekend’s fixtures.

In 16 games, the Bantams have amassed 30 points, which leaves them just short of current leaders, Forest Green Rovers.

The expectancy is that Bradford will continue to challenge at the top end of the table, but they might need that little push when the transfer window opens in January.

Here, we list FIVE players they should be considering…

Admittedly, this isn’t a new signing, but Bradford could do with recalling Doyle from Swindon Town.

The 31-year-old has struck 14 goals already in League Two this season, leaving Swindon level on points with the Bantams and sitting third.

It makes no sense for such a prolific striker to be away from Bradford on loan, they’ve got to get him back.

The 17-year-old is highly-rated at Reading, with a handful of senior games already under his belt.

However, the Royals’ midfield is pretty well stocked at the minute and first-team football is hard to come by.

For that reason, a loan move could be just the tonic needed for the former Chelsea and Man City youngster.

Bradford have really benefitted from a previous raid on Leeds, with Paudie O’Connor looking a good buy.

Edmondson is a striker currently on the books at Leeds, but in the same situation O’Connor was in. Game time doesn’t look like it’ll come in the first-team, with the prolific striker kicking his heels in the under-23s.

He’s a natural goalscorer, built for the lower leagues. He could be a great signing.

The 25-year-old is flying in the Conference Premier, with 14 goals in 20 appearances.

Stepping up into League Two shouldn’t be too much of a problem for Reid either.

He’s definitely someone Bradford should take a look at.

The Derby County youngster struck a hat-trick against Leeds United’s under-23s this week and is looking an impressive talent.

Stepping down into League Two isn’t beyond the realms of possibility, but the Rams might favour a League One move.

However, it is worth the Bantams asking the question, he’d be a good addition for Bowyer to consider.
