Norwich City are one of the three relegated Premier League sides that have settled into their new Championship campaign with relative ease.

The Canaries are definitely performing the best and in comparison, the likes of Aston Villa and Newcastle have had pretty bumpy starts to their new second division campaigns.

Norwich go into the next round of fixtures in second place, having earned 17 points from their opening eight fixtures.

They've only lost once along the way too, and many supporters believe that they could be in the running for the automatic promotion places and most importantly, an instant return back to the Premier League.

But away from all the serious stuff, it's safe to say that Norwich City have been the butt of plenty of humour on popular social media site Twitter.

For some reason, jokes always seem to find their way to the Canaries' front door and we're hear to take you through some of our favourites.

So with that in mind, here's FIVE Norwich City fan tweets that are guaranteed to make you laugh!

Sunderland put the nail in the coffin.

For Norwich City supporters, the final day of last season really was make or break.

But thanks to Sunderland's rather surprising dispatching of Everton, the Canaries were doomed for the drop and we reckon this tweet sums up how many Canaries supporters had been feeling that evening...

Will Grigg?

If there was a footballing story that really took off this summer, it was Will Grigg's unlikely rise from Championship striker to world superstar. Why? A song created by a Wigan Athletic supporter became a serious hit.

But we love this tweet and it's a banner Norwich fans displayed during their home win over Wigan. Fair play!

Cooky Canaries

You've got to give this Twitter user a bit of credit- he's a witty fellow that isn't afraid of taking the mickey out of his own team.

This time, it's a slightly penicillin-based joke but we think it's pretty funny all the same!

Nets down!

This is another fantastic tweet and its a slight dig at some Norwich supporters that got a little over-excited at a 2-0 U23 win. Twitter user KingAntxnio reckons it was like playing tennis "with the nets down".

Made us chuckle anyway!

At least you're not Coventry City!

It's safe to say there were plenty of Norwich City fans that weren't best pleased with their summer transfer business. But as Twitter user Samir Osman pointed out, it could be worse - you could be Coventry City.

If there is one team that aren't getting the rub of the green, it's the Sky Blues so at least you're not one of them Norwich fans...
