5 most pointless Wolverhampton Wanderers signings of all-time – Agreed?

Wolves have seen a lot of players come and go in the last few years with the squad revamped in 2009, when the club was promoted to the Premier League and overhauled in 2013, when relegation to League One was confirmed.

Some signings in the Mick McCarthy era such as the acquisition of Sylvan Ebanks-Blake proved worthwhile as the forward, who is now at Chesterfield scored 25 goals to fire the Midlands side to the Premier League.

Likewise Kenny Jackett’s decision to buy Benik Afobe from Arsenal in January 2014 was also deemed an excellent purchase as just 12 months, the England under-21 star was sold to Bournemouth.

However despite acquiring some talented players over the last few years, Wolves have also made some terrible decisions when it comes to signing players – particularly in the years prior to their 2009 promotion.

FootballLeagueWorld writer Alex Grove takes us through FIVE players who he thinks can be considered as pointless signings for the club……..

I'm a 20-year-old trainee journalist at the University of Sheffield. Currently in the final year of my degree. I have a keen interest in sports journalism - specifically football - and like to keep myself informed about all the latest going's on in the football world. I am a suffering Wolves fan unfortunately! I had a season ticket for five years but had to give it up due to university commitments.
