5 Middlesbrough players destined for the Premier League

Published

Middlesbrough have arguably one of the strongest squads in the league, and after the disappointment of missing out on promotion last year, they hope to write those wrongs this year.

Under the assured leadership of Aitor Karanka, Middlesbrough have become a force to be reckoned with and are promotion favourites.

Varying from the watertight defence to the creative midfield, Middlesbrough boast one of the strongest groups of players in the league and the longevity of their promotion challenge can’t be questioned.

After the disappointment of last year, Karanka has spent big to rectify any problem there was, like adding Nugent and Stuani to bolster Middlesbrough’s attacking threat which was much needed, due to the departure of top scorer Patrick Bamford.

Also bringing in creativity in the midfield with the purchase of midfield maestro Diego Fabbrini and former Boro lad Stewart Downing, and as well as exciting Argentine prospect Carlos De Pena.

Middlesbrough have some brilliant individual players though who will undoubtedly make the step up to the Premier League even if Middlesbrough do not.
