It is that time of the month again. Which gaffer has inspired their team with some fine performances this October?

There are many top quality managers in this division and this month will be a tough call to say who has individually been the best manager in this select month.

However, who are the managers that are doing a good job this month? Is it Hull’s Steve Bruce or undefeated Brighton manager, Chris Hughton, or possibly someone else?

We at Football League World have picked out FIVE managers who have been excellent, and are definitely worthy of October’s Manager of the month award!

Let us know if you agree or disagree in your comments below!

Steve Bruce has had a great October.

Beating Premier League high-flyer’s Leicester City in the League Cup and winning consistently throughout the month.

They have won four out of five games this month and are sitting in second place in the Sky Bet Championship, two points behind Brighton.

Bruce will be looking to only spend this season in the Championship and if performances are similar to this month, he will have nothing to worry about.

Paul Clement

The Rams are fifth in the Championship table following a nine-game unbeaten run, which has included seven wins.

The former Real Madrid assistant had a bit of a shaky start to his Derby career, but will now expect Derby to kick on and get back into the Premier League.

Chris Hughton

Will Brighton record back-to-back wins by beating Huddersfield today?

How can he not be up for an award? Chris has done a brilliant job this season and nobody would have bet on Brighton being undefeated at the start of November after last year’s miserable season.

He has really got the best out of his players and they are playing with confidence.

Another side that have surprised us this month, Sheffield Wednesday extended their unbeaten Championship run to eight matches as Fernando Forestieri's strike sunk Nottingham Forest at the weekend.

Owls chairman Dejphon Chansiri said he wants the club to win promotion to the Premier League by 2017 but Carvalhal says his side are not among the favourites to go up this season.

Maybe the boss could be wrong?

Brentford were shocking in September and were looking like they were really in need of a miracle to get a result.

Since then, the former Everton midfielder has come in and he has done a great job to lift the players.

Brentford have won four of their five games this month and are slowly moving up the table.
