It has been an underwhelming campaign at the City Ground as the season draws near to a close.

Forest are deep into the bottom half of the table with many off-field problems holding back the side from progressing.

The club have had to deal with financial difficulties that have led to the club being unable to strengthen in the windows, and have had to rely on some of their youngsters for back-up.

With the club looking to jump out of the Transfer Embargo in the summer, they will need to sort out their lengthy managerial absence in order to live up to their ambitions to challenge for promotion next season.

There are plenty of Premier League talented prospects emerging from the youth ranks and one of the best clubs that produce some of the most promising young players is Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp is known for his love of developing and turning youngsters into special talents and that is something that Forest could take advantage of in the summer.

These players will be on the radars for many Championship clubs, so Forest will have to get in there first in order to seal a deal.

Jerome Sinclair

The Liverpool man is set for a move in the summer and could make a valuable player at the City Ground.

Sinclair appeared destined to have a successful career at Liverpool, however any success he enjoys is set to be elsewhere.

Former striker Robbie Fowler tutored the youngster during parts of last season that would have been a great impact on his development.

The striker has shown bags of potential when he has been involved with the first team squad.

His ability shone through the FA Cup tie after he bagged his first senior goal against Exeter City in January.

Sinclair could be a brilliant free transfer for Forest in the summer, as he is highly regarded among the coaching staff at Liverpool.

Sheyi Ojo

ojooo

Another Liverpool player who has a big future ahead of him and has a fair amount of Championship experience after loan spells with Wigan Athletic and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

This term the teenager spent the first part of the season with the Molineux club and scored a memorable goal in the Midlands derby win over rivals Birmingham City.

He was also one of a number of youngsters that impressed in the Exeter City tie after only coming off the bench in the final 20 minutes - wasting little time in getting involved in the match and played a key part in Liverpool's equaliser.

The winger has been hopeful of catching the eye of Klopp, but he seems set in his ways with his side at Liverpool at the moment.

A season in the Championship would benefit the player and Forest is a reputable club that would develop his career.

Brad Smith

Smith has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign with the Reds since he penned a new contract last November and is flourishing for his club.

Smith has made seven appearances for the Reds under Klopp but hasn’t featured since the FA Cup defeat to West Ham at Upton Park in February.

The young left back has also done extremely well to establish himself in the Australia set-up after helping the Aussies claim back to back World Cup qualifying wins over Tajikistan and Jordan last month.

I think Smith will still be overlooked by Moreno and Gomez who are still ahead in the pecking order at the first choice left back position.

The Aussie youngster would guarantee game time at Forest and would extremely help their stuttering defence.

Ryan Kent

Ryan Kent has been among a large amount of interest from some of the League One sides in the Emergency Loan Window.

One of those clubs were Coventry City, who he made 16 appearances for the Sky Blues, scoring once, during a four-month spell at the Ricoh Arena before Jurgen Klopp recalled him in January.

From the performances that I have seen from Kent, he should be testing himself in the Championship, as his pace, skill and direct style of play are useful attributes that would cause severe problems for Championship defenses.

Kent has a big future ahead of him with Klopp at Liverpool, but he is still not ready to compete in the Premier League and he is another proposition for Forest in the summer.

Joao Teixeira

Joao Carlos Teixeira

Saving the best prospect for last, Teixeira.

I feel that the Portuguese man is a top quality player and is desperate to be given a sufficient chance.

He was previously at Brighton and was their best player of the season.

He has made seven appearances under Jurgen Klopp this term, and is out of contract this summer looking increasingly unlikely to pen an extension.

The midfielder could be an excellent bargain for Forest and would add that creative flair to their game that they are severely lacking.

It is reported that Fiorentina manager, Paulo Sousa is a big fan of Teixeira and could scoop in on his admirer in the summer.

Forest would have to move quickly to tempt the Portuguese under 23 international to make the switch to the City Ground.
