Lee Erwin is one of the brightest prospects outside of the top flight, with many tipping him for a bright future in the game.

Erwin has spent time on loan with League One Bury since joining the Elland Road club from Motherwell, and is set for a key role in the team next season if reports from the club are to be believed.

However, for the time being, Erwin might be best served going out and getting some more experience and game time under his belt, and crucially showing to everyone that he is capable of scoring the goals which many  believe he has in the locker.

There are plenty of clubs in League One who could do with a good striker on their books, and Erwin will not be short of suitors should he choose to move.

Here at FLW, we take a look at FIVE League One clubs who should look to sign Erwin on loan before the March 24th deadline......

Barnsley

Barnsley have gone on an excellent run and have propelled themselves to within a few goals of sitting in the top 6.

In Sam Winnall they have one of the best strikers in the League, but adding to that quality at a time when they are flying high can do little harm.

A move across Yorkshire would not be too much of a strain for Erwin himself, and he may seize the opportunity to go and play alongside Winnall and learn from one of the best strikers outside the Premier League.

It would certainly encourage Tykes fans should they sign Erwin, and would give them an added boost as they look to secure a play off berth.

Blackpool

blackpool

The Tangerines are in danger of being relegated to League Two after being in the Premier League only a few seasons ago.

However they are fighting valiantly and are only 2 points above the relegation zone.

If they are to survive though, they need to keep scoring goals, with only 33 scored all season. It could be an excellent time for Erwin to go and prove himself and it might be well worth Blackpool taking a punt on him in order to secure survival.

Sheffield United

The Blades are crying out for another goalscorer in the team, with only Billy Sharp hitting over double figures so far.

Another Yorkshire club, it would not be too much upheaval for Erwin to make the move to South Yorkshire from Elland Road, and he might see working with manager Nigel Adkins as an excellent step in his young career.

The Blades themselves are looking to try  and sneak in to the play off's, and Adkins has promised more new signings following the arrival of Alex Baptiste this week. Erwin could be just the tonic he needs to introduce some much needed inspiration in to his side's performances.

Wigan Athletic

The Latics are one of the form teams in the division, and have stormed in to the top 2 as the final 12 games approach.

They brought in 7 players during the January transfer window, but may see as not bringing anyone in during the loan window as resting on their laurels.

Bringing in Erwin to compliment what is already an excellent attack would surely provide a timely boost to the Latics and their promotion campaign.

It would be an excellent chance as well for the player to be part of a successful team, with many tipping Wigan to complete a remarkable turnaround in form and secure promotion back to the Championship.

Doncaster Rovers

Sticking with the theme of Yorkshire clubs, Erwin may well see Doncaster as the ideal destination and join Darren Fergusons squad as they look to stave off relegation to League Two.

Rovers remain only 2 points clear of the drop zone, and with only 36 goals scored all season, would see Erwin as the ideal man to bring in and try and increase that total.

It would be a disaster if the South Yorkshire club were to drop in to the fourth tier of English football, and the signing of Erwin could well prove decisive should they decide to make a move for the Scot.
