With Leeds this week confirming the signing of Kalmar striker Marcus Antonsson, all eyes will now be focussed on the Swede and if he can live up to his £2m fee and bang in the goals for Garry Monk's men.

Antonsson has a decent goals record for Kalmar, and at 6ft will provide a bit of physical presence to the forward line at Elland Road. If paired with Chris Wood, it could be a strike partnership which could cause real problems for Championship defences.

However, many feel this will not be the end of Garry Monk's summer spending and he might well look to add further talent to the ranks.

One area to look at may well be adding someone to play alongside Antonsson, with Wood unconvincing on a consistent basis and Doukara's future not entirely certain just yet.

FLW writer Lee Connor takes a look at FIVE potential strike partners for Marcus Antonsson...

Nahki Wells

wellsssss

The Huddersfield striker might well cause controversy if he moved to Leeds due to the animosity between the two clubs, but their is no question he has what it takes to bang the goals in for a Championship club.

A consistent goalscorer over the past few seasons, Wells did well again last season in a Huddersfield team who predominantly struggled.

Terriers manager David Wagner will surely want to keep the pacey front man, but a bid of the right amount might well tempt them to part ways with Wells, paving the way for a move to Elland Road.

Sam Winnall

Another striker at a fellow Yorkshire club, Winnall was integral to Barnsley last season as they won promotion.

Winnall bagged over 20 goals after missing the first part of the season, and it is well known Massimo Cellino attended the play off final to watch the former Scunthorpe man.

His movement and lethal finishing make him a danger at any level, and while he fits well at Oakwell, he might well be tempted to take the plunge and try and guide Leeds back to the Premier League alongside Antonsson.

Matej Vydra

vydra

Despite an unsuccessful loan spell with Reading last season, Vydra is still a striker who possesses excellent pace and an eye for goal at Championship level.

He proved this at Watford a few seasons ago as him and Deeney helped the Hornets to promotion, but he has not really settled in the Premier League and has failed to hit the heights expected of him.

A move to a club like Leeds with a raucous crowd could be just what he needs though, and alongside someone like Antonsson they could be a real handful of height and pace for Championship defenders to deal with.

Matty Taylor

Taylor

Instead of looking for quality from the leagues above and around Europe, Leeds might well be served taking a punt on Bristol Rovers striker Matty Taylor.

Taylor plundered in the goals last year to lead the Gas to promotion to League One, and for a lot of people he looks to be well worth a punt for any promotion chasing clubs up and down the leagues.

Pace and movement are his real assets, but he is an astute finisher too, and very nearly hit the 30 goal mark last season. He would no doubt be cheaper than a few other options, and could turn out to be a real coup.

Adam Szalai

Should Leeds fancy taking a punt on a relative unknown, they might well want to use that punt on Hungarian striker Szalai.

Szalai is currently plying his trade in the Germany with Hannover, but has impressed enough during Euro 2016 to suggest a move could be on the cards this summer for him.

He is a big and gangly type of striker, and teamed with Antonsson could pose a real threat in the second tier of English football. With Hannover not in the Bundesliga, Szalai might fancy his chances of a move to England, and Leeds might be the ideal destination for the 28-year-old.
