It has been an excellent first season in English football for Tomer Hemed of Brighton and Hove Albion, following a summer move from Spanish outfit Almeria.

Hemed has scored 13 goals so far, and will no doubt add to that tally between now and the end of the season should Brighton maintain their form and keep their push for promotion going.

He has become a regular for the Seagulls, and fans have taken him to heart following a string of impressive displays and the goals which have followed.

Throughout the season, Hemed has been used up top with varying partners, with Bobby Zamora, Jamie Murphy, and Sam Baldock all getting a run out alongside him.

Manager Hughton may well be looking to add someone to his line up to play alongside Hemed permanently for next season, and with this in mind, we take a look at some potential partners.

Here are FIVE strikers who could be the perfect partner for Tomer Hemed.......

Mirco Antenucci

With the Italian's future at Leeds United in doubt, it may well be that another Championship club takes a punt on him, and Brighton may well be that club.

Antenucci is different to Hemed in playing style, and they could compliment each other ideally as a front two.

The talent is their with Antenucci, it just needs harnessing and getting out of him on a consistent basis.

Much like Hemed, he could come in and prove people wrong and hit the ground running given the chance.

Nick Blackman

Some genuine pace could compliment Hemed perfectly, and Blackman could be the man to provide that.

A move to Derby in January has not quite panned out as well as he would have hoped, and he has failed to find the target, often being employed in a wider position than he would like.

Blackman was a regular scorer for both Reading and Sheffield United when played down the middle, and he way well be one that Hughton might look to take in the summer.

Gabby Agbonlahor

With Aston Villa set to be relegated, managers will be on red alert across the country to pick up any players deemed surplus to requirements at Villa Park.

Agbonlahor has been a long servant for the Midlands club, but maybe set for for a fresh start. Despite his age, he is still lightning quick and could be the perfect tonic for Hemed to play alongside.

He would be a great signing in general, and has bags of experience which he could pass on to not only Hemed, but all the other strikers at the club.

Peter Crouch

Despite looking for some pace to go alongside Hemed in the main, he has at times worked well with Bobby Zamora this season, with Zamora used as the target man for Hemed to play off.

This is where Crouch could come in, and with the former England man deemed surplus to requirements at Stoke City, Hughton may well try and make a move for him.

Crouch is class, and despite being in his 30s now still has plenty to offer. A step down in level to the Championship might be just what he needs to give his career one final kick start before he considers retirement.

Adam Armstrong

The young Newcastle striker has massively impressed while on loan with Coventry City this season, scoring 19 goals already and catching the eye of many a club up and down the leagues.

It might be that next year he needs to prove himself in the Championship, and if Brighton remain there, manager Hughton may well take a punt on the youngster.

Blessed with excellent movement, quick over the first few yards and with an eye for a goal, Armstrong could be ideal up alongside the strength and power of Hemed.

It will be interesting to see what is next for the young striker, but one thing is for sure, there will be plenty of clubs looking at him come the summer.
