Leeds United are set to be boosted by the return of Kalvin Phillips this weekend, with the midfielder back available to the Whites following a two-match suspension.
Paul Heckingbottom is taking charge of his first Leeds fixture this weekend, with his side travelling to Bramall Lane to face Sheffield United, with Phillips looking set to return.
Phillips missed the trip to Hull City and visit of Cardiff City through suspension, after the midfielder picked up his tenth caution of the season in the 4-3 defeat to Millwall at Elland Road.
The likelihood is that barring injury, Phillips will return to Leeds’ matchday 18 on Saturday, with the 22-year-old a key member of the squad at Elland Road this season.
Phillips has been amongst the goals this season, scoring on five occasions from his 27 appearances – more than doubling his previous tally for the club, whilst also adding two assists.
It is not just Phillips’ attacking play that has caught the eye this season, with the midfielder’s defensive contribution also standing out.
Phillips makes almost three tackles on average every time he takes to the field, and also averages 1.8 clearances per game.
