Fulham have had a very disappointing season under Slavisa Jokanovic with them finishing much nearer the bottom three than the top six.
Under Kit Symons at the start of the season they had one of the strongest squads on paper, meaning expectations were high in the Fulham camp of a possible title challenge.
As it turned out, they scored plenty of goals thanks to star strikers Moussa Dembele and Ross McCormack.
They are one of the top scoring sides in the division with 63 goals but they have conceded 67 which is the third worst in the division.
Their failure has been abject and the goals of Dembele and McCormack have single handedly kept them up, with McCormack being nominated for Player of the Season.
But the defence with the likes of Dan Burn has been very disappointing with the full-backs disappointing too.
The form of Moussa Dembele has attracted interest from Tottenham and naturally McCormack’s consistency has attracted widespread interest from Premier League sides.
If Fulham fail to hold on to these players they will struggle badly next season without replacements.
Kit Symons wasn’t doing too badly earlier in the season and had Fulham mid-table, but after he was sacked, Jokanovic took over.
Some haphazard transfer deals later, they found themselves slipping into trouble with their terrible defence the core of the problem with McCormack and Dembele keeping them above the dotted line.
If Fulham are to contend next season they need to keep the key strikers, but also desperately need to strengthen the defence.
