Premier League clubs have an abundance of top footballing talent among their ranks and every time the transfer window opens, teams from the top flight are always open to adding more and more to their squads.

This inevitably means that some top talents will be pushed even further down the pecking order at their clubs, and the Football League is the perfect place for a player to re-capture their form, and send a message to their clubs with the eventual aim of having a future place in the Premier League.

Lack of game time can be damaging for any player's development, fitness and confidence therefore joining up with a Championship outfit in January would be the perfect chance for these players to get match fitness under their belt, by joining a club in the Sky Bet Championship, which would mean dropping down a league to get a regular run of games.

These deals will more than likely be loan deals because the players may not be interested in joining a Championship club on a permanent basi,s unless it was confirmed that their current clubs sees no future for these players.

Here are FIVE players that should make the move to a Championship club to get vital match fitness…..

Patrick Bamford

The forward has found his opportunities limited since arriving at Selhurst Park on loan, having only made six appearances for the club in all competitions this season.

The highly-rated Chelsea man would be interested in cutting short his loan spell at Crystal Palace and return to parent club Chelsea in January, if the forward continues to be limited to the substitute’s bench at Selhurst Park throughout the months of November and December.

Despite being only 22, Bamford has had successful loan appearances for MK Dons, Derby County, and Middlesbrough, before joining Palace in the summer so will bring goal scoring experience to any Championship side that wishes to agree a potential deal for the player.

Michail Antonio

The talented Englishman started the campaign with Nottingham Forest, despite being linked to a number of Premier League clubs throughout the summer where he made five appearances during August, making a vital impact scoring four goals.

On transfer deadline day Forest lost their star man when the winger joined up with Slaven Billic at West Ham United, which completed the 25-year-old's journey from non-league football to the Premier League, although despite the transfer fee, Antonio has failed to secure a regular run in the West Ham squad due to high levels of competition in the new look Hammers ranks.

At 25, Antonio has represented a total of nine football clubs throughout the Football League and non-league which has given the English winger some much needed experience, which would benefit any Championship outfit and allow Antonio to get some much needed game time.

Jose Enrique

Forgotten full-back Jose Enrique was once considered as one of the best left-backs in English football, whilst he was plying his trade at St James’s - however it has been far from good for Enrique at Liverpool.

Iit is yet to be seen if the Spaniard can pave a way back into the Liverpool starting eleven under Klopp, who likes an attacking full-back that has the ability to get up and down, which means that he may be able to convince Klopp if he stays fit that he has a place at Anfield in the years to come.

But with an expiring contract, Enrique may be forced into taking a large pay cut by dropping down to the Championship to resurrect his career.

Calum Chambers

20-year-old Chambers has found it difficult to tie down a regular starting place in Arsene Wenger's squad this season, despite making the switch from Southampton in July of 2014.

Chambers has made just six appearances for the Gunners this season despite making a very consistent 38 appearances spread across the Premier League, Capital One Cup, Community Shield, FA Cup and Champions League competitions in his first season at the Emirates.

The Arsenal squad has a number of talented defenders in the ranks across the right back and central defending positions including the rise of Hector Bellerin in right back, which has made it difficult for the Petersfield born defender to get regular game time in his favoured position.

A loan move to the Sky Bet Championship could be just what Chambers needs to get back to his peak, allowing him to potentially challenge Arsene Wenger’s selection for next season.

Michu

Swansea City outcast Michu is seemingly edging closer and closer to the exit door in South Wales.

The 29-year-old Spaniard lost his place in the Swansea squad after picking up a number of ankle injuries starting with his first in the South Wales derby against Cardiff City two seasons ago, causing him to miss out on an entire year of football inevitably making the hit-man an outcast at the Liberty.

He was a key member for the Swans during his debut campaign, where he scored a total of 22 goals, and also featured in the Europa League but it seems that the club are now ready to part ways with if a club became interested.

All 24 Sky Bet Championship clubs would love a player like Michu at their disposal, but may not want to take the punt at the 29-year-old due to fears of a recurrence in his injuries which have plagued his time in South Wales.
