1 - Thomas Ince (Derby)

Derby completed the signing of former Liverpool youngster Ince on a four-year contract for a fee of £4.75 million from relegated Hull City.

Ince made his name in the Championship with Blackpool, helping them to the 2012 Play-Off final, which they eventually lost 2-1 to West Ham with Ince scoring at Wembley for the Seasiders.

Ince shone again the following season, claiming the Football League Young Player of the Year award in 2013.

Since his time at Blackpool, Ince's career has gone slightly off track after signing for Hull City on a free transfer, making just seven appearances for the Tigers.

Ince rejuvenated his career during his loan spell at the Ipro Stadium last season, scoring eleven goals in eighteen appearances including two on his Derby debut.

This was enough to convince new Derby Head Coach Paul Clement that he is worth £4.75 million, a price tag that Tom Ince certainly needs to live up to if he is to prove that he is good enough for a Premier League side.

2 - Jermaine Beckford (Preston)

Preston agreed a deal to sign Jermaine Beckford on the back of a successful loan spell at Deepdale in which he scored 18 goals in 31 appearances, including a hat-trick in the Play-Off final win over Swindon Town to clinch promotion to the Championship.

Beckford made his breakthrough at Leeds United, scoring 72 goals in just 126 league games, earning him a move to Premier League outfit Everton.

This began a run of unsuccessful spells at Everton, Leicester and Bolton. Beckford has struggled to recreate the form that earned him the Everton move until last season in League One with Preston.

Now back in the second tier, Beckford must prove that he still possesses the quality of a prolific Championship striker.

3 - Ivan Toney (Northampton Town)

Northampton Town striker Ivan Toney is one of the hottest prospects in League Two and his talents have attracted a large amount of interest from clubs higher up the Football League pyramid.

FLW reported in May that Bolton, Wolves and Norwich were interested in the Cobblers star.

It was later reported that he was set to sign for Newcastle to be Steve McClaren's first signing, but the move hasn't materialised so far.

£500,000 is the fee reported to be being demanded by Chris Wilder at Northampton, and Toney will have to prove he is worth at least that fee, wherever he is playing his football next season.

The Northampton-born forward became the club's youngest ever player when he made his debut at Bradford's Valley Parade, aged just 16.

Toney has scored 11 goals in 53 league games for the Cobblers, and was pivotal in them surviving the drop during the 2013/14 season. Toney's season last term never really got going so he will be hoping to have a more successful 2015/16 season.

4 - Nile Ranger (Blackpool)

The controversial Striker has been retained on a one-year deal by now League One side Blackpool.

The decision to retain the former Newcastle forward came as a surprise to every one, including the striker himself who posted on the social media site Instagram that he was baffled by Blackpool's decision to retain him.

Ranger has returned to Blackpool

Ranger's criminal record began when he was just 15-years-old when he was sentenced to 11 weeks in a Young Offenders Institute after he was convicted of participating in a street robbery in London.

His controversies continued last season when Lee Clark issued a plea for anyone who knew of his whereabouts. Surely, this must be Ranger's final chance to make a name for himself on the pitch, or he faces a future where no club wants him due to his devious off the pitch antics.

5 - Giuseppe Bellusci (Leeds)

Bellusci signed for Leeds United in August 2014 for a £1.6 million fee on a four-year contract.

His debut season last term was nothing short of controversial. After receiving his second red card of the season against Bournemouth in January, and being charged by the FA on an allegation that he racially abused Norwich striker Cameron Jerome, albeit Bellusci was later cleared of this charge.

Bellusci had a mixed first season at Leeds

In April, Bellusci was a member of the infamous 'sicknote six' along side Mirco Antenucci, Marco Silvestri, Souleymane Doukara, Dario Del Fabro and Edgar Cani who all controversially claimed to be injured, the day before their league game against Charlton, where they subsequently lost 2-1.

On the 2nd of July it was confirmed that Bellusci and Antenucci would both be staying at the club, which didn't go down well with the Leeds faithful. After an uninspiring first season for Leeds, Bellusci must prove that he is worth the £1.6 million paid for him and earn back the respect of the fans, which he lost last season.
