Dele Alli thinks he'll be a great manager because "he knows everything about football," but Harry Winks has a long career ahead before that day comes.

20-year-old Harry Winks is one of Tottenham's biggest prospects. With Spurs' academy gaining plaudits for producing Harry Kane and Ryan Mason - there is a large spotlight on who will come next.

As well as bringing in the young talents of Dele Alli and Eric Dier in recent seasons, Pochettino is forming a young squad.

Those who were hastily bought after Gareth Bale's sale have had their chance to prove themselves, and the likes of Chadli and Lamela have actually begun to shine in what is Tottenham's best season in a few years.

With a strong squad with players that still have five, six even seven years left to play the future is looking positive for the north London side, who have so painfully lived under the shadow of their red rivals Arsenal in recent seasons.

Winks has frustratingly however been stuck in limbo at Tottenham.

When Mark Warburton came calling in the summer for Winks to go on a ten month loan to Rangers up north in Scotland it seemed to be the perfect move, playing under a great Championship manager and in a great team with the aim of getting back to the heights of Scottish football.

However the move never materialised and Winks has been left without playing time.

He trains with the first team and is eligible to play in the Europa League in which a tasty tie against Borussia Dortmund awaits, and he plays for the U21 side regularly.

However to unlock his huge potential, Pochettino must see that loaning Winks out will give him the best chance of proving himself.

While Winks himself has said that observing, learning and training with the first team is beneficial, the only way he will develop is by playing first-team football.

With the emergency loan window in full-effect, Winks could really put what he has learned with the first team to the test.

A loan move to a Football League side would ultimately prove beneficial especially with the season coming to a close as teams are either pushing for promotion or fighting relegation battles.

FootballLeagueWorld writer Rafie Thompson believes that Winks should go out on loan and here are FIVE clubs who should look to sign the 20-year-old on loan......

MK Dons

Dele Alli did it, so why not Winks? After the meteoric rise of young Englishman Dele Alli, MK Dons and Tottenham will have great affinity for each-other. Karl Robinson is excellent at developing youth and is performing steadily in his first season in the Championship with the club just above the relegation zone.

Milton Keynes are in need of an injection of brilliance in their team to stave off the threat of relegation. They are struggling to pick up points and with Rotherham United hot on their tails, a player like Winks could really bring some individual talent to the side.

Winks would be thrust into his first taste of a relegation fight and it would be a real test of character. He would be playing in what is a solid side, but he would be playing against some of the Championship's best. Make no mistake, the quality in some Championship sides rival those in the Premier League and Winks would gain valuable experience on loan to the Dons.

Queens Park Rangers

The R's are not having the season they hoped after relegation from the Premier League. The departure of their star striker Charlie Austin to Southampton has damaged their promotion hopes and they sit 11 points adrift of Sheffield Wednesday in sixth.

Their main midfielders consist of Karl Henry and Alejandro Faurlin and with a desperate push needed to reach promotion, Winks could bring a spark into their midfield.

Karl Henry is ageing at 33 and while his experience and defensive awareness are desired, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink could definitely mix things up with the signing of Winks. He would no doubt fight for a place in the centre of midfield and he would provide energy and tenacity.

If QPR want to salvage their season they must change things up and bringing in young, hungry midfielders such as Harry Winks would be a risk, but potentially a highly beneficial risk.

Walsall

Moving down to League One could definitely also be a possibility for Winks. The Saddlers sit third in League One but have not won in their last five. Sean O' Driscoll has just completed the loan signing of Middlesbrough's Bryn Morris and he could well delve into the loan market again for a player like Winks.

The Saddlers season is in danger of tailing off and O' Driscoll must ensure that his tactics do not stagnate. Winks would experience an ultimately more physical style of play in League One but under the guidance of O' Driscoll and alongside the experienced skipper Chambers in midfield, the Spurs midfielder could flourish.

He would contest with Morris for a first team spot and he would pick up valuable experience on loan in League One.

Sheffield United

Staying with League One sides, Sheffield United would be a great fit for Harry Winks. Under Adkins they are having another disappointing season by their standards and they only have an outside chance of promotion to the Championship sitting in 12th.

With a stagnating season, Adkins' desire to see home-grown players brought through is not working out currently. Despite the good intention, Adkins made no signings in the January transfer window and has only brought in Boro's Baptiste in on loan recently.

Adkins' bringing in of Baptiste hints that he is ready to accept that he needs an influx of signings to help add different dimensions to the Blades' style of play. Winks is there for the taking and at 20 years of age would fit into Adkins' obsession with youth players.

Nottingham Forest

Dougie Freedman has been looking at Andre Moritz in recent times to bolster his midfield.

The former Crystal Palace player is currently plying his trade thousands of miles away in the Thai Premier League.

Freedman should be looking closer to home however. Despite his ability, Moritz will be a shadow of the player he once was and probably won't be up for a move all the way back to England in a mid-table Championship battle.

Winks however is 20 years old and currently would benefit from any loan move. His ability is obvious and while he would not walk into the Forest midfield, he would contest for a place. With Forest sitting in 15th, Freedman could give chances to a few younger players towards the end of the season and signing Winks could allow the Spurs midfielder to have valuable playing time.
