Despite Wolves' recent run of good form, many fans will have seen this season as a disappointment after their near miss on the play-offs last time around.

The loss of Benik Afobe hit Kenny Jackett's men hard, after a positive first half of the season, they have tailed off in 2016.

Jackett will be worried that his team's form this season has been so patchy and frustrating for the fans. Far too often has a win streak been followed by a run of games where Wanderers would pick up few points.

The former Millwall manager has a lot to tinker in the summer. His team needs strengthening in a lot of areas and players that worked so well last season have failed to replicate their form this season.

Nouha Dicko has been sidelined pretty much all season while a number of notable forwards have failed to live up to their name. Adam Le Fondre and recent signing Joe Mason have both been underwhelming thus far.

With a young squad, Jackett seems intent on bringing in up and coming players - young, hungry and able to play the fast-paced attacking game that Wolves play.

The Premier League is where Wolves got one of the 'keepers of the season in Emiliano Martinez from Arsenal and the Wolves boss will be keen to bring in more young talent.

Mike Williamson has been another great signing from the Premier League despite his ageing years.

Chelsea are a club that has plenty of young talent, Guus Hiddink has been bringing in youngsters to his first team but there are plenty of players who are still itching to play regular football.

This season in particular has seen plenty of youngsters come through in the Premier League and hopefully Championship sides can benefit in times to come.

Here are FIVE Chelsea youngsters Wolves should look to sign in the summer transfer window.......

John Swift

swiftttttt

20-year-old John Swift is currently out on loan at Brentford, he has made 25 appearances for them this season and has scored six goals.

After a failed loan spell at Rotherham two seasons ago, it is clear that Swift has progressed rapidly into a quick winger with an eye for goal.

Brentford will be very keen to keep hold of Swift's services next season, but the English youngster may want to ply his trade elsewhere with the Bees having a pretty average season.

Swift fits perfectly into Jackett's style of play.

He is very fast and has gained a lot of confidence from this season and he now understands that he has what it takes to play for any Championship side.

Nathaniel Chalobah

Chalobah

Nathaniel Chalobah holds the number 94 shirt at Napoli which is an indication of how little game time he is getting.

The England youth international will be back at Chelsea this summer and with no indication as to whether he will make the first team any-time soon - a move back to the Championship where he has previously had spells five different clubs is a must.

The defender, who can also play in midfield, is one of Chelsea's biggest young talents. His last loan spell at Reading saw him make 15 appearances and in total the 21 year old already has over 100 professional appearances.

Wolves should look to sign a young centre-half with pace, strength and awareness and Chalobah can bring all of those traits to the Molineux .

Lucas Piazon

piazon

Currently on loan to Reading, young Brazilian Piazon is developing into a versatile player, he can play nearly anywhere on the forward line and he would be a great asset for Kenny Jackett.

The 22- year-old has had successful loan spells wherever he has gone, and before his move to Reading it looked as if he would not come to the Championship, but now that he has, a lot of clubs will be looking to lure him in.

Piazon is progressing into a good Brazilian player. He has the technical ability, finishing and flair that you would expect and he would be a great addition should Jackett look to sign him.

Islam Feruz

Currently playing for Hibernian, Feruz's career is yet to kick off.

The 20-year-old has bags of potential and at his small height of 5 foot 4, he has shown that he has enough to challenge the tallest of centre-halves.

Feruz has made four appearances for Scotland U21's and many feel it is time for him to make a big move at club level.

The Scottish Championship does not suit his style of play with route-one football being the dominant tactic, however the Championship has more emphasis on fast-paced attacking football which would suit Feruz a lot more.

Kenny Jackett could develop him further as an impact substitute and if signed he could realise his potential at Wolves.

Jamal Blackman

Jamal Blackman

The 6 foot 6 'keeper is well known for his league cup appearance against Liverpool, when he played for Middlesbrough. Boro just lost out that day 14-13 on penalties with Blackman providing a great performance even scoring his penalty against Simon Mignolet.

However despite his clear ability, he has failed to break into the first team wherever he has gone.

Currently at Swedish side Ostersunds, Blackman will be wanting to make a real impact soon and at Wolves he could realise his potential.

Emiliano Martinez is highly likely to stay at Arsenal next season, the Argentinian goalkeeper has excelled in the Championship and he could provide competition with Petr Cech and David Ospina next season.

Blackman is a young goalkeeper who has the height and the ability to be a great player, but he just needs experience.
