The Sky Bet Championship is full of attacking quality and the potential to provide the Premier League with some of it's future stars.

We've already seen it happen this season with the likes of Bournemouth's Callum Wilson scoring a Premier League hat-trick and with the wealth of talent on offer this year in the Championship, it is likely that some of the strikers at this level would flourish in the top-flight.

There are plenty of strikers to choose from in the Championship, so some of the strikers not included in this article may feel hard done by when it comes to their attacking ability. The likes of Benik Afobe, Ross McCormack and Chris Wood would all justifiably argue that they would do well in the Premier League. However, there are a number of strikers that for me, have the ability and the potential to be a step-ahead of the rest in the Sky Bet Championship.

So, here is Football League World's list of the 5 Sky Bet Championship strikers that we believe would thrive if given the chance in the Premier League...

1) Charlie Austin

Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin is the first name on this list for obvious reasons.

He's already proven himself as a top-flight striker by scoring 18 goals in the Premier League last season with QPR, despite getting relegated back into the Sky Bet Championship.

His natural finishing ability is clear for all to see as he has consistently shown that he is a top striker to be feared by any opposition. His physical prowess, eye for goal and technical ability combine to form a striker easily capable of thriving in the top-flight. He's shown he can do it already and with more experience under his belt, there's no doubt that he will improve and become a contender for the England team in the future.

Winning the Barclay's Player of the Month award in December last year is another accolade that adds to his repitoire as a Premier League quality striker, adding to the shock that saw him commit to QPR for this season.

He attracted a great deal of Premier League attention over the summer transfer window, even from the likes of Manchester United. This high-profile Premier League interest makes it clear that when in-form, he would continue to bang in the goals at the top-flight of English football.

2) Jordan Rhodes

Consistently proving his ability in the Championship, Jordan Rhodes has become a sought after forward that is surprisingly still a Blackburn Rovers player.

That means no disrespect to Blackburn as a football club, yet the 25-year-old striker has been subject to transfer speculation for over a year as he continues to be linked with a move away to a range of clubs - including clubs in the top-flight.

Rhodes deserves a chance in the Premier League

This interest is not unjustified as he has continued to maintain a superb strike rate in the Football League. At his two most recent clubs, Blackburn and Huddersfield, he has scored 146 goals in 238 appearances. Anyone arguing against that striker record is misinterpreting the facts: he certainly can score goals.

Not yet in his prime, the 6ft2 striker poses a physical presence that is consistently a threat for defences across the Football League. His clinical ability to find the net is something that has proven him to be a goal threat even when his team aren't playing particularly well. Whether or not he will get his move to the top-flight is something that remains to be seen, yet he has the ability to make the step up and to continue scoring goals.

3) Daryl Murphy

Daryl Murphy - despite being 32 years old - is a striker that could thrive in the top-flight of English football.

The physical striker was the Sky Bet Championship top-scorer last season, scoring 27 goals on his way to becoming an Ipswich Town fan favourite. Netting 57 times in 169 appearances at Ipswich in his numerous spells at the club since 2010, the striker has made a name for himself in the second tier of English football and has become a big-name striker that is expected to score goals.

However, whether or not he would thrive in the Premier League is debatable.

The striker may be coming towards the tail-end of his career and is unlikely to improve as the years progress. A lot of the strikers believe to be future Premier League stars are young, exciting talents that have the potential to improve week in, week out. Daryl Murphy is unfortunately not at that stage in his career and is now looking towards the latter stages of his playing days.

However, the striker improved drastically last season despite his age. Last season, his goal-scoring ability was there for all to see and for me, that makes him able to cut it in the Premier League.

His physicality and ability to find the net with his feet and head is something that gives him an edge over most of the other Championship strikers. The stats don't lie as he netted more goals than anyone else last season - surely that gives him the ability to do well in the Premier League.

4) Britt Assombalonga

The Nottingham Forest striker signed from Peteborough United last summer for a transfer fee in excess of £5.5m, a fee that comes with large demands for a striker of Britt Assombalonga's ability and potential.

At 22 years old, Assombalonga is without a doubt one of the best young talents outside of the Premier League. Young and full of potential, the striker netted 15 goals in 27 appearances for Forest last season before suffering a year-long injury in his sides 3-0 win at home to Wigan.

Assombalonga has been a huge miss for Forest of late

It's worth mentioning that a lot of Assombalonga's Championship goals came within a struggling Forest side that found wins hard to come by under former-boss Stuart Pearce. Despite this however, Assombalonga was a consistent goal threat up until his devastating injury that will see him sidelined until at least Christmas time.

After impressing at League One level, Assombalonga made the step-up to the Championship look easy as his ability to score-goals helped him become an impressive striker at such a young age. If he comes back from his injury and performs to a similar level, then there's no doubt that his potential will help him become a Premier League star in the future.

The real challenge is returning from his injury and improving, rather than detiriorating quality. However, should he do that then he would ce

5) Matej Vydra

Reading fans were recently overjoyed to hear that they had signed Watford striker Matej Vydra on a season-long loan, in a transfer that has seen the Championship club hopeful for the season ahead.

The 23 year old striker is yet to be tested at Premier League level, but it's clear that his ability could be enough to help his do well in the top-flight.

Vydra will excel at the Royals

His finishing and passing ability has seen him flourish in the Championship and with another season under his belt at Reading, he will be hoping to be given the chance to shine in the Premier League next season.

He scored 16 goals in 31 appearances for Watford in their promotion winning season last year, proving to be a key striker for the Championship side alongside Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo - both of which are now playing in the Premier League.

With another year at Championship level there's no doubt that he will improve if he can stay injury free. His goal-scoring ability will be tested at Reading and if he can do well this season, there is very little doubt in my mind that he could go on to be a great Premier League striker in the future.
