Jon Flanagan, 22, is an English professional footballer who plays as a full-back for Liverpool, he made his debut for Liverpool in a 3–0 win against Manchester City on the 11th April 2011, at the age of just 18.

Flanagan is the nephew of former Blackburn Rovers right-back Bradley Orr.

The World Cup-winning former Brazil captain and full-back, Cafu, heralded Flanagan as his “successor”, applauding his “speed, strength and determination” and stating he “has everything required to be one of the best full-backs in the world”.

This has led to fans calling Flanagan “the Scouse Cafu”.

The full-back has been struggling to make his way into the first-team at Anfield though, and a move to a Championship club on loan, would undoubtedly be beneficial for all parties involved.
