The 19-year-old Nigerian international has been prominent in the Arsenal set up for a number of years, and is mainly restricted to appearances in the cup competitions and substitute appearances in the league.

The pacy winger is yet to score for Arsenal but has made several appearances for the England youth teams, scoring goals before then, choosing Nigeria as the country he wished to represent and has made a couple of appearances for them.

Iwobi put in solid displays when playing Sunderland and Burnley in the FA Cup, showing he can compete at this level and he will be given chances in the latter stages of the tournament.

The winger possesses good technical ability as well as pace, whilst possessing a good enough frame to trouble defences in the air.

He is a key part of the Arsenal youth team but has yet to venture away from Arsenal, even though he is linked with a loan move to the Championship every Championship window.

There would certainly be no shortage of interest in the young Nigerian forward.

Here are FIVE Championship clubs that should sign Alex Iwobi on loan during the emergency loan window.......

Nottingham Forest

For now Nottingham Forest should get the deal done which they were so close to getting done in the last transfer window.

After losing Michail Antonio who was by far their best player last season, they lost a lot of pace down the wings and most importantly lost a large chunk of their goal threat.

No-one has filled the void he left but Iwobi with his pace may lack the physical attributes of Antonio, but he still may provide the same finishing ability and technical skill to add to the goal threat Forest have when going forward.

Forest are going quite well this season and could possibly challenge for the play-offs but further additions are needed like Iwobi if they are to be taken seriously.

Birmingham City

Rowett has been good at taking advantage of the loan window in the past, and has built his Birmingham side mostly from free agents and loan signings, making the job he has done even more astonishing.

Losing young starlet Demarai Gray to Leicester in the last transfer window was a blow though, and the funds were not there to replace him, but they will need to if they are to keep up there play-off charge.

Iwobi could be just what they need on the wings to link up with the pacy frontman Clayton Donaldson, as Iwobi is a similiar player to Gray.

Blackburn

Blackburn have been a selling club for too long and often feel their hand is being forced, when selling Jordan Rhodes and Rudy Gestede to rival clubs.

Losing Tom Cairney to Fulham gave them less options in the midfield.

Under Paul Lambert they are showing signs of promise again and even though a play-off push is unlikely, they would like to end the season on a high and Iwobi could add to their goal threat, which they lost an awful lot of when Rhodes went to Middlesbrough.

Brentford

Brentford enjoyed a magnificent season last year, where under the assured guidance of Mark Warburton they made the play-offs before a humbling defeat to Middlesbrough.

They were lauded for their exciting style of play with pacy young wingers like Pritchard, Jota and Judge providing everlasting surface for the impressive Andre Gray.

Sadly Brentford lost their manager and a lot of their best players in the summer and they now sit in mid-table, but are still a threat to the top six.

Ipswich

The East Anglians are having a steady season so far under the watchful eye of experienced Mick McCarthy, and are yet to make a move on the play-off positions.

They currently sit just outside them and have picked up some good victories recently and like Birmingham, have built up a play-off challenging squad with very little money, relying on free agents and loan deals.

Iwobi would be another in a long line and after the success of fellow Arsenal youngster Ainsley Maitland Niles, it does facilitate Arsenal players and would be a good move by both parties.
