Cardiff City will be eager to resume the season in a positive manner as they prepare to get their campaign back underway with a home clash against Leeds United.

The Bluebirds have enjoyed a fine season under Neil Harris, and will be looking to finish their season on a high as they prepare to take on the league leaders on the 20th of June.

Cardiff still have a real chance of finishing in the play-offs, sitting only two points off sixth ahead of the final nine games of the season.

Can you name these 13 hidden ex-Cardiff City players?

If they do fail to break into the top-six and win promotion, then Harris will be eager to strengthen his squad and make plenty of signings ahead of next season.

That, in turn, will mean that some players will be heading out of the Cardiff City Stadium in order to make way for new incomings.

Here, we take a look at FIVE transfer scenarios that we could see happen in Cardiff when the window opens...

Whichever division Cardiff find themselves playing in next season, they need to bring in a goalscorer, that's for sure.

Their leading goalscorer in the Championship is Lee Tomlin with seven goals, whilst Callum Paterson and Danny Ward have both only managed to find the net five times.

Robert Glatzel has failed to hit the ground running since making the move to Cardiff in the summer, so a new striker needs to be brought in order to make Cardiff more threatening going forward.

Etheridge has been limited to only 17 appearances across all competitions this season having encountered injury problems, and he could attract interest from elsewhere this summer.

With Alex Smithies and Joe Day already at the club, an exit could be likely.

Tomlin has been excellent for Cardiff this season, scoring seven goals and producing as many assists in 24 Championship appearances.

You would expect there to be interest in the attacking midfielder this summer.

Hayes has been linked with a move to Cardiff of late, with the former Celtic winger now on the lookout for a new club.

Natural width is what's needed in Harris' side, and Hayes would be a shrewd addition on a free transfer having been successful over in Scotland.

Sanderson was brought in on loan from Wolves in January following the surprise departure of Lee Peltier to West Bromwich Albion.

The 20-year-old has made three appearances for the Bluebirds and has looked impressive, and it's possible that Harris looks to take him back on loan next season.
